JackieMoon
That's a good point. Although he shows promise, we know how hockey goes with throwing around players. For that much I guess it would be better to get your own name put on it.Not doing that either. Opinions on this topic can get very heated around here, but in my opinion, putting your own name on your team's jersey is the height of dorkosity.LOL we all are on here countless hours a day talking about sports logos. We are all past the point of dorkosity.
Funky Bunky
I hate seeing what could have been. So sad with the possibility the Ducks had, and what they ended up going with. Such a cool name, and they screw it up. Lightning did the same thing. With a great unique name, and they go and use clip art with no depth. While I don't love what they are using now, I'm sure glad they didn't go with at least half of those logos I can make out. I'm lost as to what a lot of you people see in there...they all look pretty dodgy to me (apart from the first one, but thats a repeat so that doesn't count). I personally would put the webbed D at the top, which is what they should have gone with from day one and just used the wordmark as that, a wordmark. Also, I like Anaheims colors. Call them a Penguins rip off, I don't care, there's heaps of blue and red teams. Shouldn't Pittsburgh be considered more of a bland team than Anaheim? After all they use one less color.Luckily, I doubt the Ducks will ever design another uniform that incorporates the wordmark, and orange is going to overtake gold as the main secondary color. And some of you guys are crazy, most of those logos are terrible, and they remind me of the jerseys used in the original Mighty Ducks movie. Not a good look. The webbed D is pretty solid logo imo.
rxmc89
All of these > bland workmarkAccording to rumours from a Ducks forum I'm on, the final design they went with was chosen by the Samuelis' 16 year old daughter. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that turned out to be true.Wow. I feel like a piece of .... I root for a team ran by little girls. So you're just now figuring out something the rest of us have known for years.

They've established their name, and the D is strong enough now; it wouldn't have been if they made it the primary unto itself in 2007, in my opinion. BrianLion
If the Sabres can get rid of the Buffalo head and lame red and black color scheme after how many years, than the webbed foot can go easily.
Morgan33
If the Sabres can get rid of the Buffalo head and lame red and black color scheme after how many years, than the webbed foot can go easily. The Sabres never won a cup in that look... The Ducks on the other hand captured a championship the year the wordmark jerseys were unveiled. The webbed "D" is passable but nothing special. I wish the main logo incorporated a Duck... or a Duck's head. Disney or not, the original logo was a modern classic and I don't see it being topped. hockey week
They should have introduced the Webbed D by itself and the wordmark at the same time, one logo supporting the other. Things could have transitioned to having the Webbed D on the front and the wordmark on the shoulders by now, making for a solid identity. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend. Morgan33
I think it's safe to say the Sharks will be going back to their pre 2007 colour scheme. Why else would the logo feature grey so prominently when the rest of the uniform has none?Unpopular opinion but I am going to miss the current Sharks set, particularly the teal version. Those colours are so vibrant, especially in that photo.
habsfan1
I just hope that they don't go directly back to the old logo. It was good for it's time, but not to today's standards.

But how often do we see teams get stuff like that right, so lets hope you are correct, I miss the old colours.
Sodboy13
Sharks should have just dropped the front numbers and put the patch there. It's not like those numbers are league-mandated. Orgo
The front numbers clutter up the uniform so bad. I personally want to see a full-bodied shark on the front, no front numbers, and those shark fin patches as a uniform. The full-bodied shark is nice, but it's a black logo on a black uniform. That said, I somewhat like the alt, but it looks too much like pajamas.
CrookedThumb
I just played NHL 2013 and noticed it there, but this pic confirms all of our hopes. The Lightning corrected their third jersey and changed the shoulder patch. They'll be wearing it tonight against Ottawa.
