2013-2014 NHL Uniform & Logo Changes

If yellow turns out to be the new fad, I hope the Bruins jump on the wagon and make their alternate a yellow version of the home/road jerseys.

Their WC set was a beaut. Brown and gold looked good together, and it would've worked as an alternate.

I've never liked the brown and gold. I'll take black over brown any day. But I agree that the WC set was awesome.

The Edge replica's are an absolute joke

I am thinking that the rumours of a yellow 3rd jersey for the Flames are supported by the current logo being used by the team in recent promotional materials.image_zps410380f9.jpg

I believe the Flames have never used this particular colour combination with the Flaming C. Does the lack of yellow indicate that this will be used on a yellow background? Or does it mean that there will be no yellow in the new 3rd at all?

What are you talking about? That logo is outlined in yellow... no different from the one that appears on the red jersey
What I am talking about is that there is no yellow being used in this particular Flaming C. The one used on our main home jersey with a red base is black, outlined in white, then outlined again in yellow.

This image I posted is a black Flaming C, outlined in white, then outlined again in red. Does this mean it will be used on a yellow based 3rd jersey? I'm thinking yes, although I think that a red Flaming C, outlined in white, then black would look better if this is the case. Below is a practice jersey I saved from destruction in the 2013 Saddledome Flood by purchasing it at the team equipment sale in June for reference.

That does look like a black C with a red outline, which would do well on a gold jersey.

But the more I think about possibilities for striping, the more I get that sinking feeling that this will be a McNightmare of a jersey

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

From now on we'll just have to get used to the fact that the Ducks will always have a horrible shoulder patch on their sweaters.

I liked that patch. Felt it really completed the look. And hey, they were roundel before roundel was roundel.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

The outline is yellow... They just used some effects that make it look red in certain spots. Like the glow of a flame

The outline is as yellow as the red flame in the background.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Are you trying to say the red outline is unintentional? I think that it is supposed to be red, and this will be the logo that is used on a yellow based 3rd jersey.

Keeping the red to a minimum on a yellow jersey would definitely negate any "McDonald's" connotation that others seem to enjoy pointing out about our last alternates and our Heritage Classic jersey. Both of those sets were outstanding, at least to me anyway.

The "Bruins as a brown and gold team" ship sailed a long time ago.

Then maybe its time to bring that ship back to port.

Here, I'll go out to sea and drag it back myself for everybody.

As a 40 year fan of the Bruins I'd be happy if they ditched black in favor of brown. I'd also love to see the follow Nashville??? (LOL) and have a gold home / white away!

Photo on Icethetics.info of this 20th anniversary bobble-head should answer the question about whether or not it will have shoulder patches.

It's supposed to be a throwback to the Inaugural season, and Paul Kariya was still playing for Maine.

Just a quick recoloring job of the Flaming "C" if you want to see how it looks on yellow background for those who are wondering.

I'd like it as a shoulder patch, but too much yellow and it wouldn't look like the Flames to me. Same with the Sabres. The Pens, the Bruins, the Perds and the Kings (throwbacks) should be the only ones who can pull out a primarily yellow jersey, IMO.
