GMW79
I'm really curious as to how prophetic ColeJ's avatar is... Silver, green, and black look good together. Silver stars would fit with stereotypical Texas imagery, i.e. sheriff/marshal/ranger badges.

Silver stars would fit with stereotypical Texas imagery, i.e. sheriff/marshal/ranger badges. That would look great, especially if the silver was metallic on the logo. Though I think ColeJ's avatar is simply the original Stars logo from 1993/94.

IceCap
Yeah, it was always gold. Cole's avatar, though, isn't silver. It's gold. Just like the current Stars logo. The thing is he's using a graphic that has a bit of a washed out colour scheme, so it may look silver on some monitors. On mine it looks like a silvery gold, but still definitely gold. wildwing64
Yeah, looks silver on my monitor. But then the pantone used for metallic golds like the Ducks and Stars looks like a dull brown-ish colour.I need a new laptop. PotD: 24/08/2017

Coast2CoastAM2006
The Dallas Stars announced today that the team will unveil its new uniform and logo on Tuesday, June 4th at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas at 6:00 p.m. Owner and Governor Tom Gaglardi, President and CEO Jim Lites, General Manager Jim Nill, Executive Advisor and Alternate Governor Mike Modano and Stars forward Jamie Benn will all be a part of the special event."Since Tom Gaglardi took over as owner, we have been working diligently on a rebrand that is classic, simple and true-to-hockey," said Lites. "This event will showcase the results of that process to our loyal fans and will also provide us with an opportunity to announce several new developments about the future of our franchise."Aside from unveiling the new logo and uniform, the team will also address the current state of the franchise and will make a significant announcement regarding the 2013-14 season.Special invitations were sent in early May to Dallas Stars full season seat holders with instructions on how to secure a ticket for the special rebranding event.---------------should we read too much into the logo used on the stars website? Morgan33
The shield logo is not the new logo according to those in the know.Thank god. Silver seems to be used rather excessively on the site though, perhaps a sign of things to come
hockey week
Maybe I'm stretching a bit, but I finally realized where I've seen that Dallas Stars concept beforeThis oneBecause it looks like the dollar store Deals' logoBetter seen here http://deals.dollartree.com/home.jspA bit of a stretch? Perhaps. But it's close enough that it shouldn't happen. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

ksupilot
we have been working diligently on a rebrand that is classic, simple and true-to-hockeySounds very similar to what we were hearing from the Lightning. Coincidentally theirs was released pretty early as well to allow for changes to be made before the season started.
tigerslionspistonshabs
With all this "classic, simple, true-to-hockey" talk, I'm really expecting a Lightning-esque rebrand, but hopefully with more than two colors. It could be nice if done right. Green, black, gold. And hopefully the logo isn't completely terrible.

A minimum of some kind of green and yellow is what's likely.Everyone will revolt if they drop yellow and become the Dallas Bay Green Wing Stars.
