Another lesser-known nation given by ye olde Random Country Generator...

The Most Serene Republic of San Marino is a microstate completely encircled by Italy (one of three such countries in the world) and is the third-smallest state by area (24 square miles, about 1/3 the size of Washington, DC) and second-smallest by population (32,404) and in Europe. San Marino is not formally part of the European Union, but does use the Euro as its currency. The tiny nation has been able to remain independent through hundreds of years almost completely by diplomatic luck, convincing Napoleon not to invade as well as securing the promise that Italian Unification in the mid-1800s would not include San Marino. San Marino had the world's first democratically-elected communist government, from 1945-1957. San Marino today survives largely as a relic from the past.

As can be expected due to its small population, Sammarinese athletics are generally not very successful. The national soccer team has only won a single game in its history - in 2004, over Liechtenstein. All-time, the team is 1-111-4, with 19 goals scored and 482 goals allowed. San Marino is currently in a three-way tie for last in the FIFA World Rankings - 207th, with Bhutan and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The Sammarinese national league is amateur, but it does have a team (San Marino Calcio) that currently plays in the Italian third division. San Marino has also never won a medal at the Olympics, despite sending athletes to 12 summer and 7 winter Games since 1960. The nation came close to winning a medal in women's trap shooting at the London 2012 Games, finishing in a three-way tie for the silver - but lost the tie-breaker and finished 4th. There was also formerly a San Marino Grand Prix on the Formula One racing circuit - it was actually held in Italy, not San Marino - but was cancelled in 2006. As far as American football goes - it's highly unlikely ever to catch on due to the small population, but American football does have a following (and an American football league) in Italy, so if a few Sammarinese decide American football is their thing...

Concept time!

Kept it pretty simple. San Marino has worn both the light blue and royal blue in soccer, so I went mainly with the Carolina blue with royal as trim. Of course, the pants could be interchanged. Thoughts?

Very nice job. I've been quietly following your World Football series and I love it how you'll do whatever country the generator comes up with, no matter how small/unknown it is.

However, I'm not feeling the 'serif' font for the numbers or the logo itself. Still like the general layout of the uniform though.
