To me, there's just no point bringing up your best farmhand to sit on the bench behind your starting goalie. I more than see the reasoning behind calling up your best positional player if say, Kane or Ladd goes down, but if Pasquale's just gonna sit on the bench and eat seeds, then go to the next guy.

Even if the goalie getting called up doesn't get to see any game action they can still benefit from spending time with the big club. They get to work with the best coaches in the organization, practice with some of the best players in the world, and get a general feel for what their future will be like, all without the added pressure of having to come in as a starter. With that being said, there's nothing wrong with a little extra time on the farm.

The Coyotes are winning games again just in time for their new magical mystery buyer. Every year is the same.

Whatshisface whose grandparents owned the Buffalo Bisons in the '60s reportedly submitted his paperwork to the league yesterday. I wish I was kidding.

Another big two points for the Islanders, especially with the Devils losing as well

Nice to see the Coliseum rocking like it did tonight. Haven't seen that in a long time for a non-Rangers game.

I'm interested to see how far these bids get now that the city's taken subsidizing the team off the table. Previous would-be owners would agree to buy the team for these sweet-heart deals and then get held up because even with those deals no potential investors would touch the franchise as long as it had to stay in its current location. Without those deals these bids could die as quietly as they began.

I finished reading Jeremy Roenick's autobiography in just under a day. Was it worth it? The story of his incident in traffic was enough validation for me.

Synopsis: Roenick is cut off in traffic and the two angry drivers exit their vehicles to confront one another. Once close-up, the other driver recognizes Roenick and says "Sorry, Jeremy. I didn't realize it was you," and they return to their cars.

Just before peeling away, the other guy shouts, " :censored: you, Roenick, you suck! I never like you anyway!"

Holy multiple outdoor games, Batman!

*sees Dodger Stadium*

WHY?!

----------------------------------------

Seriously, I want to know what brain dead consultant proposed this, and then I want to put them is a little hamster wheel setup to help defray some of the energy costs needed to keep an outdoor rink adequately frozen in a part of the country where the average low for that time of year is in the high 40s.

What's so outdoor about playing a Winter Classic in Vancouver? I mean it may be what their winter is like, but who wants to play a game that's supposed to represent the tradition of the game in a retractable roof stadium, where it's probably gonna be 5 and raining.

Winnipeg should be all over this!

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Winnipeg has, apparently, the 2016 Heritage Classic locked up. Betcha it's against the Wild, or if Phoenix DOES finally relocate, vs QC

I wouldn't think to give Los Angeles an outdoor game, and if for some reason I did, I definitely wouldn't have them play the Ducks. I don't even like having two of these a year. God, the NHL could ruin a wet dream.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
