Wow. VT is going off the deep end. The uniform against Bama was so bad and so strangely outdated and now they are just rolling out absolute visual garbage. Such a shame from a school with such great and unique colors. And with a not too distant history of being one of the best looking programs in college football. Sad, sad, sad...

Thanks a lot, Oregon. This is all your fault.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

What the hell is going on at VaTech? Has the goiter officially seized control of all uniform decisions?

Close. Frank Beamer is slowly slipping into senility and madness. Kind of like Mack Brown ca. 2010. He really should be jettisoned before he does lasting harm to the program.

Possibly going for this look? Googled "1960's Georgia Tech football" and this picture from 1959 was a result.

Whatever it is they based it on, it's a good looking jersey and is light-years better than what they've recently worn.

If that's the case, then the sleeve stripes still need to be moved down. Right now it just looks awkward.

Frank beamer:

“When you look at this helmet, it’s not flashy, but it means a tremendous amount to this University. The outside world may have to do a double-take, but the Hokie Nation will know exactly what it is: Hokie Stone! And it’s something we’re proud of. The reason I like it, is because it represents what this program and this University are built on. Each piece, in its place, serving its purpose, doing its job, and when it’s all working together, it’s rock solid and it’s something special. That Hokie Stone … represents what we’re all about, a foundation that we’re proud of, built on brotherhood, loyalty, leadership, Ut Prosim, sacrifice, service, honor, and duty. And I hope you saw all of that on display this past Saturday in our game with a very talented and determined Marshall team. Not just from the players, but from the fans as well, who withstood a driving rain and stuck in there with us through it all!

"So, on Thursday night, some may see it as stone on our helmets. We know it’s SO much more!"

Thanks a lot, Oregon. This is all your fault.

Indeed. Oregon started this mess. Every stupid alternate helmet, every "one-off" jersey, every combo that minimizes or eliminates school colours in favour of black or various shades of grey, it's all Oregon's fault. They opened the floodgates and now we have....well, this...

This is the result of the madness Oregon and Nike unleashed upon the world. WE WARNED YOU ALL! we.....we...warned...you all.....*sobbing*
