College Football 2013 Season

I apologize if this is not the right place for this, but did Miami officially scrap the green jersey and green pants? I know Al Golden was rumored to be orange/white home and white/white roads when he first came. I guess that was disputed and the orange pants made a game or two at first. Now the orange pants seem to make the rotation paired with both the home and road jersey. The reason I ask is that the stores still sell the green jersey so is that more for money reasons, is it just unused, or is it retired?

They have silver numbers now.

I think these were the helmets I was thinking about that I'd prefer them without the gradient and if they continued onto the facemask.

Better than the green wings. Really wish these had iridescent feathers on the shoulders.

If it wasn't chrome, I'd probably love this. I kinda wish they had incorporated the Fremont Cannon, but that hokey little commuter school to the south already beat them to the punch on that last year, even though they haven't won the damn thing in about a decade.

I think that commuter school just stole your cannon

I wonder if there's any way we can get Chris Ault to come out of retirement. Again.

That cannon is a pretty cool trophy. I had no idea it was the most expensive in the NCAA.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Heaviest too. It's not the original Fremont Cannon (as that was lost somewhere in the Sierras in the 19th century), but it's still pretty damn cool. And it looked so good in blue! Ehh well. Gotta throw the dog a bone every once in awhile :P

So we've played six home games so far and Illinois still hasn't worn orange helmets with blue jerseys. I'm fine with switching up the combinations a couple times each season, but it's pretty ridiculous that they haven't worn what's supposed to be the primary home uniform once yet. I don't care if you pair it with white or orange pants, but I really hope they wear the orange helmets and blue jerseys at least one of the next two games.

That actually raises an interesting question, Billy B. Are there any designations of "official" or "primary" uniforms in NCAA football? I know in the NFL you have to declare home, road, and alt. You're limited in how many games you can wear the alt, as well.

In MLB, your white uniform is your primary home, and your gray/sand is your primary road, but I don't know of any restrictions on the alts. In fact, you barely even have to clash anymore. In the NBA, your white/gold is your home, dark jersey is the road, and you can wear alts, but they are usually road jerseys because they're also dark jerseys most of the time. In hockey, white on road, dark at home, and alts at home (but again, I don't think there are limits, off the top of my head).

But with all the alts, tributes, and one-offs, do teams even have to declare a primary home? Obviously we think of USC in Red/Red/Gold, Florida in Orange/Blue/White, Ohio State in Silver/Red/Silver, and Tennessee in White/Orange/White...but then there are teams like Oregon, which rarely repeat a combination, Illinois, which hasn't yet worn what you would think is its primary, and Virginia Tech, which can't seem to decide WHAT direction it's going...and I don't even know. ARE there any rules on this?

Go Gators. Go Blue Raiders. Go Commodores. Go USC Trojans.

Preds & Avs.

Braves, Rays, & Dodgers.

Titans, Colts, Broncos, Cardinals.

Grizzlies. 14ers, Jam.

Team Spirit + Laziness = Yay.
