I don't get the love for the Missouri uniforms.

The black jersey is great. The white one is okay, would be better without the contrasting yoke. The gold one is vastly overrated on here. I don't like how the striping doesn't match the others, and I really don't like the weird black triangles on the front extending from the sleeves.

Mizzou's yellow jerseys are great. The black and white jerseys would be vastly improved with matching striping. The only Mizzou jersey that is bad is the anthracite one.

I love the whole set. Just need to get rid of the road jersey's yoke, but keep the colored sleeves. I think it's perfectly fine to have a non-matching alternate. It happens in hockey all the time.

If their white jersey looked like their PC one below is would be 100x better.

The Yokes ruin the road look for me:

^Oregon has done a great job of taking 2* and 3* recruits and developing them into high draft picks, that's where the facilities can really be helpful.

Their offense isn't a gimmick.

What's your definition of a high draft pick?

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

isn't that version of mizzoo's helmet normally matte not glossy

Tonight: I perfsonally like the glossy finish better than the matte.

Helmet wore earlier this season:

That gloss helmet Mizzou wore in the Cotton Bowl is just stunning and is miles better than the matte.

Either way, phenomenal yet very modern look.

I prefer the matte helmet to the shiny helmet, but you're right. Either way, it's a great look.

I would say Dion Jordan at #3 would qualify.

Just flipped by the Go Daddy bowl. Can somebody explain this to me?

BallStateCardinals.png

Weird robo-bird. I know I've seen this dozens of times but hadn't really thought about it. Is he shiny, or just very very oily?

He's frost bitten maybe. The white on the cardinals face was always red I thought. I think it's more to be unique than anything else

The speed lines give this a really strange effect. Unlike most head-only logos this one really does look like it's been decapitated.

What it comes down to is this: every school needs to identify their "point of difference" when recruiting. For teams like OU, Bama, etc. it's winning games, being a part of a storied tradition, playing in big games, etc. For other schools who cannot boast of such things you have to create a reason to come there. Whether that's facilities, uniforms, "friendly" hosts, etc.

Thank you I don't get why it's so hard for people to understand this.

Uniforms are one of lower points of getting recruits to sign. Here's a rough ranking of key factors in recruiting:

  1. Coaching Staff and and their track record of getting players drafted. This also requires the ability to pay top dollar for coaches and assistants.
  2. Media Exposure
  3. Facilities
  4. Alumni/Booster Support and their Connections
  5. Other college perks (housing, training table, athlete friendly majors, personal tutors etc.)
  6. Uniforms

What everyone seems to forget is that top to bottom phil knight invested a boatload of money to make oregon a top flight program across all areas. The only thing that the duck program lacked was a multi-decade tradition of winning which he has now created from the ground up. On the other hand you have schools like maryland that have the same level of access to cutting edge uniforms but are lacking in all of the other areas which is evident by their inability to win and attract top tier talent.

I think each one of these areas is ranked differently by each individual recruit.

I don't. I would say this rough ranking would encompass a significant majority.

i don't. I think if you ask 10 different recruits, they could all have them ranked differently. It's personal opinion. To some, playing at a major power is important but they don't care about the uniforms. The next guy may not care about the quality of his team but wants to go where there's nice facilities. Another guy may want to go somewhere that has the flashiest/newest uniforms but doesn't really care about the facilities.

The key is what someone mentioned earlier. It's not that cool uniforms are more important than facilities, or coaching staff. It's that new uniforms may draw a recruit in to a school, which can them close them with some of the other more important things.

It's the same principle as marketing/packaging design. A cool looking Coca-Cola can isn't the reason people drink coke. However, a cool can has the ability to draw someone in and make them pick up the product that they may not have otherwise.

Coca-cola is like the Alabama of soft drinks. They don't need a fancy can to make people try them. They're great and everyone knows it. However, some of the new, up-start soda companies need that standout can in order to push people towards trying it for the first time.

Not care about the quality of the team? That's ridiculous.

Why can't Maryland attract decent recruits? They have the elite uniform program.

Because Maryland is 56-66 over their past ten seasons.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Is anyone else kinda disappointed that Auburn didn't do what Duke did in the ACC title game and wear their navy jerseys? The white is nice, but that would've been an absolutely amazing matchup.

I personally would not have liked it because the main reason Duke looked so good was because the Royal Blue really "popped" out against FSU's garnet.

Auburn's Navy, on the other hand, wouldn't really differentiate from FSU's garnet enough IMO.
