Rutgers has adopted NFL's "No Purse + Only Clear Gallon Bags" Policy. Michigan State has a modified version which allows an unbacked seat cushion with a zipper pocket, but no woman's clutch bag/fannypak, unlike the NFL. Teams which use NFL stadiums will adhere to the NFL policy too (Pitt, Miami, Temple. SDSU)

Of course, they are using Homeland Security evaluations as the reason why.

Not that bags are really an issue at such sporting events, but it's even more reason to stay at home.

EDIT: While not for all schools, at least Cal gave a pic of the legal/illegal bags.

Go Gophers.

6 PM vs UNLV

I think they'll finish 6-6 this year.

I am sure the game has been scheduled for some time, but I cannot believe it is opposite a home Vikings preseason game. Sure, the latter does not count, but this is a pro sports town and this is not the best way to get early-season interest.

My Predictions (Winners in Bold):

BCS National Title Game: Alabama vs Louisville

Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State vs Stanford

Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs Northern Illinois

Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs Oregon

Orange Bowl: Clemson vs UCF

Heisman Predictions

  1. Teddy Bridgewater - Louisville
  2. T.J. Yeldon - Alabama
  3. Braxton Miller - Ohio State
  4. Jordan Lynch - Northern Illinois
  5. Jadeveon Clowney - South Carolina

Other Votes: DeAnthony Thomas (Oregon), Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M), Aaron Murray (Georgia), Ka'Deem Carey (Arizona)

My homer pick is that Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin gets votes. He's the #2 RB right now, but he's got the most talent. Last year as the #3, he averaged 10 yards a carry backing up Montee Ball (gone) and James White (still around). With Ball gone, he's going to get his carries and play his way into more carries than White. Wisconsin's O-line may be the weakest it's had since Barry Alvarez took over (and totally lacking depth), so that could hurt (not to mention they are pretty weak at QB), but he should be good enough to turn a lot of heads. He will be on pre-season Heisman lists a year from now.

What's the over/under on Jerry Kill sideline seizures in 2013?

That's so wrong but knowing Vegas, they probably have to over/under on that. Degenerates love the little prop bets.

I'd assume TV insisted on placing the game when it was.

BTW, just wanted to put this here, for your consideration:

2012 Stats:

Arizona State DT Will Sutton: 41 solo tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 3 forced fumbles

South Carolina DE Jadaveon Clowney: 40 solo tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 3 forced fumbles

Will Sutton for Heisman, I guess. B)

ESPN makes it seem like Clowney is the only player on South Carolina.

Yeah its getting ridiculous. ESPN's college football coverage is still pretty good but they are getting stupid with all Clowney and Manziel talk.

ESPN does this with every sport, they cover individuals more than they cover teams, and it's probably the #1 reason people hate them.

And after a week, you don't think that FOX has done the same with the UFC with FS1? or that NBCSN has not done it with José Mourinho, Gareth Bale, or Wayne Rooney
