Wha... what... IS that?

It's like a combination Frog / Dragon / Fish, or Fragonish for short.

TCU needs that on a helmet, stat.

Sure, the Horned Frog -- which appears on a set of Southwest Conference mascot drinking glasses given away by gas stations -- is the work of the late, great Bill McClanahan of the Dallas Morning News. I'll try to post the rest of the set here.

Why did mascots used to wear sailor caps?

Not sure where to put this, so I'll put this here: BYU, which has used the sailor cougar on a unofficial basis, is supposedly officially adopting it in modified form (LINK).

Is it me, or does the updated version look like an Illustrator trace of a raster image gone wrong--almost like the artist forgot to go back an correct the places the Illustrator trace version screwed up.
