Pro Teams' "Entrance Music"

The Cornhuskers use Siruis as well. I have YET to determine which team used it first, because both Husker Football and Bulls Basketball were massive dynasties in the 1990s.

Hint: it was not Nebraska

The Brooklyn Nets come out to "No Church in the Wild," although the intro video before that has some other song that I forget. Mentions Brooklyn though, of course.

The Boston Celtics used to use a 50 Cent song, not sure if they still do. I get why the Dropkick Murphys have become a sort of Boston sports house band but I've always wished the Celtics or someone else would use Pixies as intro music. Doesn't get more hyped-up than that.

A song about unity between California cities seems a little ironic for a team that plays against teams from other California cities (and it's by OAKLAND'S most famous rapper)

Wait, what? Who? Are you talking about Tupac? Because of so, that's not right. I mean, he DID live there, but he had a pretty strong connection to San Francisco as well.

The Texans have come out to "Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed since their first home game in 2002. The dramatic drum intro can be pretty awesome.

They'll also play "Bulls on Parade" any time the defense takes the field or makes a big play.

This reminds me of the last time I saw the Mavericks play in Memphis. They of course played the Dallas theme. I bet they get sick of that because I'm sure they hear it in many NBA cities!

The Cavs are using MGK's "Invincible" this year

Probably the best intro they have ever had. It's great to see a team stick with local talent and have him performing in the entrance video.

the pistons intro they used for nearly 25 years

Wonder why the ended that. I saw last year they were using a ripoff of the Chrysler/Eminem Super Bowl ad.

The Packers, for all their history, really ought to still be using a live band (Bring back the Limberjacks!) if for no other reason than their taste in modern popular music really, really sucks... is there any "jock jam" more generic and overplayed than "Get Ready For This?"

The Pack have been using that for so long now that it kind of has its charm. That said, you can't get much more cheesy, generic and mid-90's. I would wholly embrace a switch back to a live band.

I can (begrudgingly) accept "Bang On The Drum All Day" being played after touchdowns for that reason, but "Get Ready For This" is such a basketball song and doesn't even sound right for a football team.

I know the Redskins always use Enter Sandman, unless I'm seriously mistaken. Gets me pumped up perfectly fine, even if I wouldn't have the song on my iPod. Throughout the game, the band will play, however.

Edit:

Also, I love when the Skins play in primetime, and whatever network (NBC, ESPN, etc.) plays the theme before the game. I lurrve NFL theme music from FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN, even NFLN. They all rock.

When I interned with the WIzards, they came out to "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins. I like the song just fine, but middle-aged dad pop didn't seem right for an NBA team.

Do the Bills still come out to "Bills Make Me Wanna Shout!"?

yes, sir. craig ludwig was playing golf with vinnie paul and he asked him to make a song for them to listen to during warmups. they finished up the round of golf, went to the studio, and pooped out a half-assed but endearing-to-stars-fans version of their most famous song, cowboys from hell. became so popular that they started skating out to it every game.

nieuwendyk tried to change it when he changed the goal song, but fan backlash led to it's return.
