Mingjai
I was messing around recoloring an old BYU football photo (1937), thought I'd post the result here. I think the colors are right or reasonably close: Visit my store on REDBUBBLE

Mingjai
Also, dug up an old Minnesota-UCLA Rose Bowl photo from 1962. I don't think it's colorized, but it possible it is. Visit my store on REDBUBBLE
lahaye7
This is technically now retro:It's the Huskies best of modern day (no random piping)Back from 1980s-90s:always thought they should wear this forever, with the Sonny Sixkiller era font numerals. I am sore, wounded, but not slainI will lay down and bleed a whileAnd then rise up to fight again
Lights Out
RE: Washington - I've always been partial to this look for them:Yes, it had piping, but the piping was used in a unique and aesthetically-pleasing way, basically a different take on the Colts' shoulder stripes. Seems like they changed like the Rams over time. "The pictures looked good on the computer," Will Brown explained

chrome14
Rice in their Colt-like uniforms versus Texas A&M 1968:If it hadn't been for the R on the helmet, I would have mistaken them for the old Baltimore Colts as well.Texas Tech, early 1960s:That lighter shade of red is sweet. chrome14
Akili 98Mint...Oregon 1967:MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!Iowa Hawkeyes 1994, 95I remember these. I think Iowa wore them for one season only (maybe two) and then went back to their more conservative look. I always liked those "wings" on the shoulder pads and the stripes that only went halfway down the pants. For Iowa, this was about as crazy as they were going to get with their classic black and gold unis.West Texas State (now West Texas A&M) in the 1960s:Love the cleats football players wore back in the day. They looked dirty, ugly and badass. Made for football. No weird colors or patterns. Just basic black and white.
