Hey guys.  I'm currently learning how to use Illustrator, so I thought I would take a shot at doing a logo.  This is pretty much just a modification of the old logo and a color change.

I like how it finally separates itself from the Minnesota North Stars. I also like how it changes the emphasis to Texas in a very obvious fashion.

I don't like the fact that there are so many levels of 3-dimensionality (the star and script on top, the shadow, then the flag), the script doesn't stand out enough, but otherwise it's good.

Good Illustator work too, BTW.

Thanks for the feedback.  The first try at the concept was simpler and didn't have the drop shadows, I thought it was too plain, but I guess the plainer would be better.  I think it would seperate itself from alot of the busier logos in the league but still look like an NHL logo.

Of course, with just to levels, it would be fine. I don't know how you'd show the two distinct levels, but having it all on one level would be just as confusing as 3.

That's real cool, shiznit!  I think the multi-layers works just fine.  It might be a PITA to have embroidered on a baseball cap, but that would make a great crest.  Excellent work!  :cool:

i really like it too, it definately fits texas better
