txhockeyfan
According to a friend who is knowledgeable of fonts, the "Astros" script from the mid-70s to early 90s, used the font "Kabel LT Black," which is the very same font that the Toronto Maple Leafs still use today.Kabel examplesHe also says that the original Texas Rangers font either is or is similar to "PTBarnum BT."PTBarnum exampleI'll ask him if he knows of any others. slapshot
yes, the same font used by the Astros during the technicolor popsicle era was Kabel, also used currently by the Maple Leafs in the nameplates and on the logo.Barnum looks very close to the Rangers old font (late 70's-early 80's).
