Coast2CoastAM2006 394 Posted December 15, 2013 I think that's also a difference between 1988 and 2013. Or even perhaps 2002. Teal debuts and no one knew how to deal with it. So they get "close enough."Sports merchandise soars in the 1990s but it wasn't so precise ... Purple WAS purple back then. Heck, I couldn't even get a blue Cowboys cap to match my blue Cowboys jacket. (And they still haven't figured it out. )i think the cowboys have a policy if where if they can't decide on the blues and silvers to use, they just use them all.

Berlin Wall 1,238 Posted December 16, 2013 What do you guys think the new logo will look like? Will Hugo still be around?I guess. Rumours were that Hugo got a few more muscles this time. I believe these are true.

Jamikel 91 Posted December 16, 2013 damm, that´s a very dark purple , isn´t it ?Same one the N.O. Hornets used to use. Same one the Suns use now.If only they'd stuck with the New Orleans Creole Blue too. Looks so much better than the Charlotte teal.
cappital92 46 Posted December 16, 2013 The Creole Blue was better then the greenish teal the N.O. Hornets used when they first moved, but I think the Charlotte teal was the best of the three.
Xist2inspire 118 Posted December 16, 2013 "Creole Blue" had to grow on me, I didn't really care for it at first. The brilliance of the overall rebranded look is what gradually changed my mind.
Bravo96 22 Posted December 17, 2013 Creole Blue was Creole Blue, which is all well and good for NO, but not for Charlotte. Fans were clamoring for the purple and teal. Thank God they brought it back the correct way. Teal just fits with Purple, no matter how good the Carolina "Light" Blue/Purple look could've been.
TruColor 587 Posted December 17, 2013 The Creole Blue was better then the greenish teal the N.O. Hornets used when they first moved, but I think the Charlotte teal was the best of the three. The Teal didn't change despite the move to New Orleans. It was correctly pointed out earlier in this thread that there have been a lot issues with matching the color, and in the early days it was all over the place. However, it remained the same color (at least as far as color standards go) from Charlotte to New Orleans.
TheFallenHaveRisen 263 Posted December 17, 2013 Can someone with the ability to check and see if Teal, Vintage White and Fuschia are the same person?

Bravo96 22 Posted December 17, 2013 I think part of the reason people think the teal changed in NOLA was because it was almost immediately paired more with yellow than purple/blue, making it appear more greenish by association.

Puckguy14 61 Posted December 18, 2013 So the Charlotte teal was the same as the NHL's San Jose original Pacific Teal. Nice.
