Ok, wait a minute now. There is NO WAY that this helmet

Which is actually passable

And this helmet

BIjeqVLCMAAdijg.jpg

Which is downright awful

Have the same paint scheme. It's almost as if they decided to make each helmet unique, which would be an even bigger nightmare, and I can't see the NFL letting that happen. Especially with their stance on having the helmet represent such a big part of a team's branding.

Or.

Now, this is what I suspect really happened (or maybe I just really hope). They got to the unveiling and about ten or so hours before the event they realized, oh s**t, we don't have enough of the new HGI helmets made up, so someone on the equipment staff decided to get a gold lid and just spray paint it with BBQ paint and hope nobody caught it.

Here's an honest question Jags fans.

If you had it your way, would you take these uniforms over the inaugural set? Just wanna see where your standards lie

Can we have the new logo with the original set? If so I will take the original. I just really love the new logo now. Im fine with everything that was shown yesterday I would change the helmet to a normal black one. Heck I will even settle for the flat black helmet. But give me the original with the new logo.

Yes. I'm convinced the new logo is better.

If you're an American above the age of 18 and you don't know where Jacksonville is, you're a dumbass. Simple as that.

Sure I know where Jacksonville is. It's in North Carolina, right? Or is it Illinois? Perhaps Texas. Wait—no, it's out in Arizona, isn't it? Come to think of it, it's actually up in Oregon.....

(And these are just the ones I know off the top of my head. Oh and um uh...I'm 31.)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Or these two options.

1. They floated both designs out there to see fan reaction and then pick based on that.

2. Actually I only have that one guess.

I just put this in Concepts, but I'd say it applies to you guys.

Also, it's a little late by now, but I could almost see the concept of the jaguar "coming out of the shadows" as referring to it coming out of a spot where it blends in (the gold) to a spot where it's much more prominent or "in the light" (the black).

Am I crazy?

Also, it's a little late by now MOD EDIT

Literally ANYTHING would've been a better analogy.

I've got a dribbble, check it out if you like my stuff; alternatively, if you hate my stuff, send it to your enemies to punish their insolence!

Yeah. That was just a stupid thing to say.

Trust me I am not going anywhere either in fact I am getting mildly annoyed with some of the comments.

If I may presume to give a youngster some advice, you'll need to grow a thicker skin if some of these comments are annoying you.

Your team is going to be savaged from time to time (richly deserved, in this case), but that's not a personal attack on you and you should not respond as if it was. If somebody does attack you personally, then that's out of bounds and you should report it to a mod.

But vicious attacks on your team, its look, its city and everything else? Par for the course. We all end up on the receiving end from time to time. If you don't let them bother you, then you'll probably enjoy your time here a lot more. I know I have.

Can we sticky this post? Very well put.

Wonder if any Nike font designers watch TV in Baltimore?

Before any sharp-eyed detectives point it out, yes, I know they're only moderately similar and by no means identical.

The ONLY think they have in common is that they're the same number. They're not "only moderately similar," design-wise.

In this case, prior to this change first being announced, for the longest time Island_Style, Claystation360, ANGELCAT-IDA (I think), and Brian in Boston were the only real established, bonafide Jaguars fans most of us vets knew about.

I was a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars' 1995 through 2012 primary logo and the uniforms that the team wore from 1998 through 2008. While, as a result of that, I had a passing interest in the franchise's on-field fortunes, I wouldn't categorize myself as a fan of the team.

If they decide to use the helmet that's in the outdoors pic, then my opinion of the uniforms is actually on the positive side. That half-half split pic was just downright awful. The jerseys and pants are actually really solid, and I especially love the new road jerseys.

Edit - I'll also add that the new logo has really grown on me. Not too shabby, Jacksonville.

Whatever you say, chief. (Go ahead and waste some of your time pointing out all the dissimilarties.)
