Because it's a 90-joint. If you look at the bottom left corner you'll see that it's rounded.

These dolphins are jumping like the logo.

But doesn't look half as good as this one.

...and neither one is wearing a helmet! So the new logo is a definite upgrade.

Viewing official artwork, I can now confirm 100% that Black is not a part of these uniforms (!). As if.

I can also confirm the existence of a second pair of socks - like we saw yesterday, one of the pairs (to be worn with the Aqua pants) has a Blue stripe at the top. Plain Aqua with the White pants.

Oh, and "MIAMI" (in Orange) is also placed on the inside collars of both jerseys.

No alternate jersey provided.

I'll post some examples later.

Look at your post. The sharp joint is crucial in the depiction of the number 5 in English. The numerals 0, 2, 3, 6, 8, & 9 are all curved, and 1, 4, & 7 don't have a 90 degree joint in the upper left corner (they either end or avoid it by running on an angle).

I didn't design the type (personally, I think intentional asymmetric stylings are dumb), but my guess is that if they rounded that joint, it would look more like backwards 2 than a 5. Similar to the way no one flips a P around and calls it a 4.

A lot of people here seem to think these new uniforms are dull. I'd rather a team's uniform be too dull than too ambitious.

I'm sorry to vent this on here but it does have something to do with the uniforms. The current ownership and management has DESTROYED this franchise little by little until this is a brand is not recognizable! I saw at least a half dozen designs that amateur graphic artist had done and they were 10 times better. I cannot believe a brand name like Nike designed these and call this something they are proud of. I thought that they would design something like the Vikings did with a mix of old and new. I don't know how many people are in agreement with me but that is my opinion.

I friggin' love the colours and the simplicity of the Dolphins uniform, they scream "Jimmy Johnson is our coach" But that font is the FUGLIEST EVER... especially the 1 and 7 ... which could be a problem, considering...

Now that I have a clear view of the full uni sets, I hate how orange is nearly obselete just about everywhere.

They just don't look like the Dolphins anymore. Just a lesser franchise that uses a bland teal & white color scheme.

Really? Because this has looked like every single last one of their prior uniforms....Would you rather them go modern instead of traditional like they have always been? Orange has never been THAT blatant in our color scheme as you guys are making it out to be..

or better yet, compare ALL of their previous sets to this and tell me if it still doesn't look like the Dolphins

You obviously have not looked at the last uniform have you. The orange was much thicker & really popped now everything looks boring.

I am happy they don't look like clowns but very uninspired look here.

The helmet is the worst hit because from most of the pics you can barely see the orange on the stripe

The number font is the worst of the bunch those ones are awful.
