Also the injury reports are spilling out:

Michael Handzus had a broken wrist and Marian Hossa had a bad nerve in his back that would occasionally numb his leg. More to come.

Shaw, outside of the destroyed side of his face, had two broken ribs and a torn labrum.

:censored: YES!!

I can't believe that ended the way it did. I unfortunately can't make the parade, but I was there in 2010 so I guess it's not so bad.

Congrats to the Hawks. I had the privilege of watching the majority of Hawks games this year thanks to my Chicago friends. I'm sure they're partying hard tonight.

And check this. THIRTEEN Stanley Cups for Scotty Bowman. Unbelievable. Congrats to him too.

Is Jonathan Toews on his way to being this generations Steve Yzerman or Joe Sakic, 2 Cups by 25?

Also after a call to Directv explaining what happened I am getting a month and a half of free service.

If he can avoid getting concussed that would really help his cause, but here's hoping!

As far as your DirecTV thing, yeah, they should also throw in a free masseuse visit with happy ending.

Though it didn't go the full distance, that was an incredible series and game 6 was amazing. Bolland scored the winning goal and it's like he forgot that there was 50 seconds left because he dropped his gloves and stick.

I'm happy for the Blackhawks fans. Congrats. That was a hell of a season and for the first time in a while hockey's best team won the cup. I think that's a good thing for the sport. It's also a good thing for the sport that that city is one of the best teams.

This is the time of year when I always get a little bummed out. The games are over for 3 months. I'm watching another team's fans celebrate something I can only dream about and nobody around me gets it. I didn't choose hockey. Hockey chose me.

At least the draft is this weekend.

A great game, a phenomenal series, just not the result I wanted. Regardless of the result, I thought it would go 7.

Either way, the best team did win, it's an Original Six team, and with the way the Bruins swept the Penguins, I don't think any other team would have put up as much of a fight against the Blackhawks as Boston did.

Disappointing, yes, but the memories of 2011 are still fresh, so I can live with that consolation.

Congratulations, Chicago.

Well, just my opinion, but more games were played during NHL seasons while WORLD WAR 2 was going on than this season, so yeah, this Cup gets an asterisk.*

Sorry, I don't think so. Every team was playing under the same conditions. The 'Hawks didn't have any kind of advantage over the rest of the league. No * needed.

This is what I was saying all along. 2011 was nothing short of fantastic. 2013 would've been icing on the cake. Unfortunately it didn't play out that way, but having the Cup in 2011 certainly softened the blow.

GET OUT

YES. There was only six teams in WWII, should we put an asterisk on all those Cup wins? Stop it. The regular season is, and always will be a glorified qualification tournament. The real season starts as soon as the playoffs get under way. No asterisk here, the two best teams played their hearts out for the Cup and the most deserving team won it. Go crawl back under your rock.

Besides, we almost never get a Final between two of the legit best teams in the NHL start-to-finish. When we do, this is the result; a series that we're probably never going to forget. Absolutely riveting stuff to watch.

I'm so glad that, unlike the last lockout, I didn't end up going on hockey sabbatical afterwards.

I agree with this. Being a Hawks fan, last night was great, but it wasn't the sense of total euphoria I felt in 2010. That was a great release. This cup, coming off a dominant, record setting season, felt more like a Bulls championship, like "this is cool, I can't wait to be back next year."
