NBA Changes 2013-14 Season

There's been too much risk in uniform design these days.

You're joking, right? Have you seen the NHL and MLB?

I have. I've seen the Edge roll out which featured a plethora of bad "progressive" designs and I've seen the Sharks just give up on the idea of stripes all together because of wind....or something. And I'm bracing myself for the crap sandwich Buffalo's super-edgy alternate is shaping up to be.

In MLB you have the Marlins, who manage to be both gaudy and dull at the same time.

Yes, you have the Blue Jays, Mets, Nationals, Stars, and Hurricanes all going traditional, but they're in the minority when you compare them to the abominations the Seahawks and Jags roll out, the gimmicky numbers the Vikings currently wear, and just about every NCAA uniform unveiled in the past ten years. I'm sorry you have to deal with baseball teams actually wanting to look like baseball teams, but on the whole the world of sports aesthetics is going to very progressive places. And that's not necessarily a good thing. Not when you go from pushing the envelope to lighting it on fire while yelling "BURN BABY, BURN!"

The T-Wolves' tree trim would have worked if it had just been a series of tall isosceles triangles serving as more abstract "trees." All those three-triangle trees were too much. The bigger flaw was the insistence on a black uniform instead of slate blue or maybe even (stifle your laughter) wolf grey.

They really screwed up their new uniforms, too. Let's have trees. Trees that are grey. What a stupid organization.

But they did have a blue uniform.

I for one loved the tree pattern on the arm trim. It was subtle and was perfect for a team called the Timberwolves.

They looked great after the change as well, but once they ditched the green they became one of the most dull and boring teams in the league.

I know, they just barely wore it, at least in 2003-04 when I was actually cognizant of the Timberwolves.

Did they say why they got rid of the green? What a bad idea in a time of bad ideas. Wasn't that the same summer they drafted too many point guards?

That Clippers mock up with the orange is beautiful. I hope it's real and popular enough to get Clippers brass to keep it full time. The Wolves were so close when they updated the uni recently with the fixed collar and elimination of the trees. Then they took a turn for the worse when they took out the green. Shame.

What's Will Smith doing there on the Timberwolves? :D

Back on topic, I really really like the Suns new home jersey. The wordmark is gorgeous and I love the subliminated sunstreaks.

But they would have looked a lot better if they'd included a little bit of purple in the overall design of both the home and sleeved alternate uniform, right?

I don't think it's funny to mock tributes to deceased people.

He might have not known he was dead, i didnt know who it was

I still don't know who it is and whether or not they're dead. I think the OP just tried to find an image that showcased that particular style of jersey, not even noticing the ghost player.

Its Malik Sealy, who died in a car accident back in 2000. He was very good friends with Kevin Garnett, hence the reason Garnett is wearing #2 with Brooklyn to honor him.

No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms.
