Jaffa 667 Posted November 13, 2014 The combination of sky blue shirts/white shorts/ sky blue socks (I presume) is one I really like, so I don't have any complaints about the kit in itself - but it would have been nice to have seen something a little more individual to NYCFC rather than a straight extension of the parent club's 'brand'.
sozopol 85 Posted November 13, 2014 Assuming the change kit is navy, under what circumstances would they wear it, other than at SKC?

I was hoping for something a bit more creative. An exact clone of the parent club just seems.........kinda "cop-out-ish", but there could be terms and conditions that were set in place behind closed doors.

Nyk33 881 Posted November 13, 2014 I am very disappointed by the main NYCFC jersey. I thought they would at least pull a Melbourne City and try to make it somewhat different from Manchester City.
Pabig 65 Posted November 13, 2014 I don't know really, the kit is nice but it just doesn't feel right. As I said in my previous post they have no unique identity and are just a flat out copy / paste of their parent club.
An_SEC_Cheerleader 1 Posted November 13, 2014 IMO, something that incorporated the royal blue and orange on the flag of Manhattan would have been nice (besides the logo crest).
IanC 59 Posted November 13, 2014 Very smart. Was expecting Navy trim instead of white but looks very tidy. Love the Innaugral Season tag on the bottom.
sportstar1212 447 Posted November 13, 2014 It may be a copy of Man City, but it still looks pretty sharp. I'll definitely be getting one.
-kj 2,411 Posted November 13, 2014 I am very disappointed by the main NYCFC jersey. I thought they would at least pull a Melbourne City and try to make it somewhat different from Manchester City. The only reason Melbourne City isn't a copy of Man City is that the A-League told them they couldn't be a primarily sky blue team, since Sydney is already positioned as a sky blue team.
Berlin Wall 1,257 Posted November 13, 2014 I'm not impressed. But glad they went with sky blue.
tBBP 2,737 Posted November 13, 2014 Some orange would've been nice.......Maybe this sets up the change kit to be navy-based with orange accents....(Or so one can hope.)
SCL 524 Posted November 13, 2014 Looks very generic which is too bad considering the identity they had created.
Gothamite 24,694 Posted November 13, 2014 I love it. As clean and classic as Adidas can make. Especially with white shorts (hate Man City's all-blue). As for orange, still expecting an orange keeper kit.
AJM 148 Posted November 13, 2014 Maybe its just the photos presented but the kit looks like it has a "sheen" to it...material maybe?
Ferdinand Cesarano 4,602 Posted November 13, 2014 I would like to have seen some orange trim, perhaps on the ends of the sleeves. I have no philosophical problem with the uniform being a copy of Man City's; it's just that orange is an NYC FC team colour, whereas it is not a Man City team colour. An interesting thing might have been to put the Adidas stripes in navy-white-orange, in the pattern of the New York City flag. Though I admit that that might have looked too gaudy.
JTernup 472 Posted November 13, 2014 I love it, I WILL be getting one. It's just a shame that they look more like Manchester City than Manchester City does. (Sky shirt with white accents, White shorts and Navy socks is the ideal City look for most supporters.)
sozopol 85 Posted November 13, 2014 I didn't see socks, were there sky blue socks, or navy?
