Mr. Krabs 82 Posted August 9, 2019 NBC has new graphics for their Premier League coverage, probably based on their partnership with SKY Sports because they're quite similar.
CreamSoda 2,051 Posted August 9, 2019 I wish they would just use the premier leagues own package. Love that one. Although this new NBC graphic is quite an improvement over last seasons!
RyanMcD29 764 Posted August 9, 2019 Scorebug looks like a hybrid of NBC's and Sky Sports' and I quite like it
Kramerica Industries 1,837 Posted August 9, 2019 I'll be curious to know what Sky Sports graphics looked like. I know that there was some change-ups between which networks - Sky and BT - have which windows of games this year, so I don't know which of those two had tonight's game, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough if Sky is in-sync with NBCSN or if they're keeping their own score bug and related graphics.

Sky did have the rights to tonights game.
insert name 4,981 Posted August 10, 2019 I wonder if that's Premier League exclusive or if they'll use that for the NHL as well?

FWIW, Sky kept their usual scorebug But yep, going to be interesting to see the BT window tomorrow morning, as well as the 10 am slot where there's the television blackout in England
fbjim 92 Posted August 11, 2019 I still think it's way too big for soccer. It's like they're still in the HDTV transition era.

I'd like to see it get used for MLB on NBC Sports affiliate stations. The A's and Giants have had the same graphics packages for four seasons now, and while I enjoy it, I think moving to this new style would be subtle, but also refreshing and worthwhile.
RyanMcD29 764 Posted August 19, 2019 Fox hasn't changed up the scorebug or bulk of its graphics yet but based on the wipes it looks like they've got something up their sleeve Week 1. And by something up their sleeve I mean still making Cleatus the Robot A Thing in the year of our lord 2020.
TrueYankee26 1,028 Posted August 19, 2019 Not bad at all. And I will not be surprised at all if NBC's next big (when it comes at anytime) rebrand across all sports goes Sky-ish like their new Premier League graphics.
TrueYankee26 1,028 Posted August 30, 2019 Well Sinclair recently closed their acquisition of Fox Sports Net, so we will all expect a rebrand sooner or later, which means totally new graphics.
McGlinchey23 447 Posted September 2, 2019 What was the first network to do the headshots at the beginning of the game where the players say “First Name Last Name, University”? What year did they start doing that?
