MLB:

1) NY Yankees

2) no "favourite" by any stretch. The only team that could've ever qualified are the Marlins (local, NL, used to wear teal), but the 2003 World Series destroyed any chance of that ever happening

NFL:

1) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2) NY Giants -- most Yankee fans I know are Giants fans in the NFL, so it's very much a "like seeing fellow peers happy" sort of thing, more-so than anything else

NHL:

1) Tampa Bay Lightning

2) NY Rangers - largely the same reasons as the Giants. The last couple years with Torts and Richards there also helped

NCAA:

1) Florida Gators

2) Florida State Seminoles HAH, just kidding

None

UEFA/Int. soccer

No direct favourites necessarily, though certainly plenty that I dislike (Man City, Chelsea, Barcelona, etc.). My rule with Europe (others may disagree; that's fine) anyway is that, without any direct ties to any given club, one is allowed to root for a major club, from any of the given federations. It's just that rooting for multiple big-time clubs becomes pretty out of sync. For instance, if I was a Manchester United fan, I wouldn't then also claim to be a fan of any of Juventus/Barcelona/Bayern, etc (big federations, anyway; 95% of the soccer fans here root for Celtic in Scotland). That's just too much of taking the easy way out, from my POV.

General international sporting events:

1) United States

1a) Canada
