Also, the Redline means something very racist. That's why Pixels changed it to the Sidewinders.

Love the idea of the "Honolulu Islanders"

How about for the Tampa Bay team, name them the Sol?

Unnamed teams -

Connecticut Charters (after the Charter Oak which stood from the 12th-13th century until 1856-it's on the state quarter)

Boston Beaneaters (who doesn't love that name?)

New York Heroes (homage to the NYPD, FDNY and first responders who helped in the 9/11 aftermath)

New Jersey Gardeners (Garden State)

Philadelphia Spirit (Spirit of '76)

Pittsburgh Roughnecks

Indianapolis Racers (simple name, though fitting)

Cleveland Spiders (old NL team which existed before the Indians)

Cincinnati Crimson (homage to the Reds)

Detroit Mechanics

Chicago Colts (Cubs' former name)

Washington Whips (political reference)

Nashville Outlaws (homage to outlaw country)

Memphis Chicks (old AA team)

Oklahoma City 89ers (old AA team)

New Orleans Trappers (after the French settlers there)

St. Louis Browns (at the bottom of the MLB barrel, I've always been curious about them)

Milwaukee Hops (ingredient for beer)

Kansas City Smokers (BBQ reference)

Minnesota Millers (old AA team name)

Phoenix Firebirds (old PCL team name)

Houston Cosmos

Dallas Tycoons (after all the rich folk living there)

Las Vegas Lights (Neon lights of the city)

San Antonio Defenders

Seattle Rainmen

Portland Beavers (what else can they be?)

San Diego Missions

San Francisco Seals (old PCL team)

Los Angeles Cruisers (homage to the lowriders and the beach cruiser bicycles)

Silicon Valley Trojans (the one thing you DON'T want on your computer)

Salt Lake Swarm

Denver Mountaineers

Honolulu Islanders

Tampa Bay Tarpons

Miami Tropics

Montreal Lions (Montreal is "Mont Royal"...the lion's the perfect symbol)

Toronto Tritons (unique identity, homage to lakeside location)

Ottawa Castors/Beavers (Canada's national animal)

Vancouver Totems

Brooklyn Robins (before they were the Dodgers, the team was the Brooklyn Robins. Plus "Bridegrooms" and "Superbas" sounded just plain ol' silly!)

Rhode Island Reds

Carolina Corsairs (Blackbeard came from another "Carolina")

Atlanta Owls (to match the Falcons & Hawks)

Hollywood Stars (old PCL team)

Orlando Ducks (after Disney World)

Virginia Beach Beacons (lighthouse on the city seal)

Also, I would make one change to Buffalo's name (as Bisons are already taken by the AAA team). Why not the Buffalo Blackrobes (homage to the Jesuit missionaries of the day, if the Franciscan missionaries can get a team named after them, why not the Jesuit ones?)

I'd seriously consider changing the Virginia Beach name, the Wave isn't plural so Waves would probably be better. You also could use a name like Admirals or Destroyers as a reference to the Naval base in Norfolk (Largest in the Americas)

New York Empire and Boston Rebellion are decided.

Tampa Bay Hammerheads takes the cake.

Miami Tropics is official.

Minnesota Lumberjacks will represent the Twin Cities.

St. Louis Explorers are the team under the arch.

Denver Mountaineers plan to move mountains and win the Championship.

Silicon Valley Trojans are the team to beat this year.

Brooklyn Kings are trying to prove they are the kings.

Everything else... is still a tie!
