My college baseball team had that, the week before your first Florida trip (Northern college teams spend about a week down in Florida at various tournaments) the upperclassmen would cut your hair in a rediculous fashion. You'd wear it like that for about a week and they they'd shave it clean the night before they left. I think many teams have similar things for rookies/freshmen.
