So the Bills have ONE healthy QB right now. We don't even have Brad Smith, because he's on IR. They're not promoting Thad Lewis from the practice squad; they have officially said they're bringing someone in from outside the organization.

Browns will be lucky to go 1-3 before the bye week.

Why always so pessimistic, man? You're like, the only Cleveland fan ever who's not constantly optimistic.

I think they should win at least one of those games. You've got two good chances at home against Detroit and Baltimore who aren't world-beaters and then maybe you could nick a game in Green Bay or Kansas City.

I'll be surprised if they go 0-4 through the stretch, content with 1-3, but desiring 2-2 to stay in the thick of things.

This is Cleveland's first 3-2 start since 2001, and the first week they've been over .500 since Week 17 of 2007.

Little things - enjoy them.

And...AND...they currently sit all alone atop the AFC North!!!

Pretty solid article about how the "touchback era" is bad for the sport.

http://mmqb.si.com/2013/10/04/mike-westhoff-special-teams/

I like his ideas generally, but it seems like every drive will be starting from the 40 if you kick from that far back and have the kicking team and return team line up against each other like that. I think treating it like a punt other than a small zone for onside kicks is a good idea. What I'd like to see is to make kicking it out of the back of the end zone or otherwise out of bounds in the end zone illegal procedure just like if you kick it out of bounds at the 20. Keep the ball in play; make it a skill of placing the ball, instead of just booming it as far as you can. When you see teams use a roster spot on a "kickoff specialist" (a.k.a. a guy who cannot kick accurately, but can kick the laces off the ball), I think that's a sign of a broken system.

Browns and Lions are on top of their divisions? At the same time??

No quarterback or running game and they've barely beaten two bad teams (Vikings, Bills). Hoyer wasn't great, but at least he could move the ball. Weeden is slow and really a worthless QB. 3-2 means absolutely nothing, just like the Steelers at 0-4. As the season progresses everything will even out.

The Cleveland fans that are optimistic right now are idiots, sorry. They are the same people who were screaming "WORLD SERIES" after the Indians won 10 games against AAA teams. In Cleveland failure happens one way or another. Get used to it.

Pat White will work out for the Bills. White was released earlier this year by the Washington Redskins. He was the Miami Dolphins' second-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft.

Umm, you failed to mention the bigger issue.

Pat White has not played in the NFL since 2009, was cut in 2010 and flamed out with his second MLB attempt in 2010. Plus, he is 6 feet/190 and inaccurate.

All I know is he looked good in the preseason. And yes I know preseason doesn't mean anything

He did look good in the preseason, as a kind of "wildcat" quarterback. Unfortunately there' s not enough room in today's NFL for 4 QB's on a roster and White had to go, I liked him though.

Nice. Knowing that no team signed him to a contract fro, 2010-13 means much more.

Knowing how to spell could mean a lot too.
