This isn't one of the great looks in the NBA right now, nor is it one of the better looks in Suns history, but it still runs laps around the hot garbage they've been wearing for over a decade. The streaks are actually a nice, simplified allusion to the '90s jerseys. You'll notice, too, that the numbers fill in the "invisible sunburst" better on the jerseys, because of the extra space required for the twill backing on Rev30 numbers. So kudos to Phoenix for actually taking one of the templates shortcomings into account, even if they did whiff on things like color balance and that butt-stripe. The wordmark is riding way too low, too, much like whatever's going on with the Clippers.This is not the calamitous end of a franchise or all sports fashion. Grow up. Instead, it's all about generic and safe designs and leaving as much room for inevitable jersey ads as possible.You'll notice, too, that the numbers fill in the "invisible sunburst" better on the jerseys....if you ignore how much empty space there is with single digits and double-digit numbers starting with 1. The orange one would be good without sleeves, but I get that Adidas is pushing for sleeves to be a thing. And i think the whole set might end up looking better on the court. The team is avoiding using purple as much as humanly possible. I'm actually shocked they decided to have a purple road uniform. Considering how much black merchandise they had and how the other two uniforms (and logos, for that matter) lack purple completely, I'm convinced the road jersey was supposed to be black, but they got scared at theLast second and sapped it for purple. It's a shame too IMO. Maybe that's a sign that they can still tweak a few things on these to tighten the design up and give it more cohesiveness.
