It was definitely one of the strangest goals I've seen. The celebration didn't ensue until about five seconds after the ball crossed the line. Not only is Malta terrible and the game being played in Copenhagen, but Denmark needs to win AND make up a -ton of goal differential in order to make secure a second round spot. crashcarson15 Posted October 15, 2013 Share Posted October 15, 2013 So, UEFA shapes up as follows...Belgium, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina are through to the World Cup Finals in Brazil.England will qualify by bettering or matching Ukraine's result tonight while Spain will qualify unless they lose to Georgia.Sweden, Greece, and Portugal have qualified for the play-off. Croatia will qualify unless Denmark blows its 4-goal lead to Malta. For their part, Denmark (or whoever else finishes second in Group B ) will miss out unless Romania lose from a winning position against Estonia. Romania stand to qualify for the play-off unless Turkey (who trail Holland 2-0 at the moment) match their result. Iceland stands to qualify for the play-off unless Slovenia betters their result—the Slovenes would qualify in that case. France will qualify for the playoff unless they win and Spain lose (in which case Spain would go to the play-off) while the Ukraine will be in the play-off unless they better England's result or lose to San Marino.
