Hoopskid Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Just having a little fun to see what the Huskies would likely today if they still existed, or if the Raptors rebranded as the Huskies.Tried to make a clean, sleek, modern yet classy design. Uniforms are inspired by simple old Huskies design as well as bold Canadian flag. Thoughts?
raysfan24 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Dat tongue. I think that script 2 could be cleaned up a bit. I don't really like the mix of bold and thin letters and it starts to trail up at the end. I don't really like the blue maple leaf either. I do like where you are going with this though. Can't wait to see version 2.
8BW14 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Yeah clean up that logo, but everything else is pretty good. Its clean and simple. It's a very good start.
chrysleraspen08 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I agree with everybody else, it's all good except for the logo. The way that the tongue is positioned it looks like it has 2 of them. Sporting Venue Count (for games): OHL: 19 (28 Total)- 770 games (after 18-19), MLB: 13 (15 Total), NHL: 4
Generic Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I'm really loving that uniform set, that seriously looks incredible. Definitely has me loving the idea on the Huskies name being used.
Shadojoker Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Love the home court..but Lmao as well on the logo(tongue).. but it'd good cause it has character
Shadojoker Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Sry for double post but those unis scream of too classic/aka Brooklyn Nets plain..jazz it up a bit with some creative alternatives. Timberwolves incorporated the trees, etc on theirs and it looks great..same angle but add maple leaf, space needle,etc..
BigRed618 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Not bad at all. I love the color scheme. In fact, I was thinking of taking on a Huskies concept myself. It was going to have the same colors you're using.

Hoopskid Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks for the critique, I will work on making changes and adding an alternate. In terms of the logo, I only slightly edited the original Huskies logo, that's why it has that rough cartoon style to it. Honestly, that's how I imagined it, so that it could be put in a class with the Celtics or Bulls.
Whittier S Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 If this is a current take on the Huskies, the Huskies logo doesn't look current.
Shumway Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I agree with what's been said about the husky. It just needs to be cleaned up. My only real issue is that the primary and secondary are exactly the same, except with a leaf swapped in for the husky. I'd rather see something more unique (i.e. not a roundel) for the primary. The leaf looks much better and balanced than the husky within those stripes. I think there's a better way to work with just the script/wordmark and the husky and forget about the circle and stripes for the primary logo. While I like the simplicity of just blue and white, I'm curious what it would look like if you threw red into the design for the flag and maybe in the eye/tongue of the husky.
Tynamo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 You might want to go with the usual 'logo and script'-style primary. I don't think roundels look good as a primary for NBA. Other than that, just clean up the husky. and
bleuet Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Interesting. Lots of late 70's NHL Toronto inspiration ;-)I'd remove the underline on the wordmark. Instead of a single big side line, I'd put 2 stripes. It's a nice project.
