South Carolina Gamecocks Logo

Back again with a college logo refresh.

I've been wanting to do this one for a while and finally got the chance. Pretty straight forward here. The Gamecocks have a unique monicker and equally unique logo so I wanted to keep the overall shape the same (similar to the Navy refresh I recently did). It's not done yet, I feel like it might need some white highlights, and eventually I'll put a keyline around the whole thing. Until then, comment away!

Looks a lot better than the one they use now, IMO. Only thing I would change is to thin out the black outlines a bit Their current logo just looks too busy and dated for a modern day logo.

Nothing needed on this. I like it without any highlights (sometimes we can be the victims of over-design). I like it. Good work!

My only beef with this logo is the outline. I think it's a little too thick. Would be a very nice upgrade for them.

Thanks Dolphins91 for the jersey avatars.

Wow. Top notch.

Speaking of notches, the ones added to the tail are such a nice little detail. I honestly don't have anything negative to add. While I don't think you need it, I'm curious what it would look like to add some details to the wing/neck area. I think it might just muck it up, but I'm wondering what it'd look like with some shading or hint of feathers.

Just a heads-up, it looks like the one feather (tallest one) flattened out on the keyline.

I think this is great. The only thing I'd want to see is some more indication of "frenzy" on the top of the neck. While the old logo is too busy, you can look at the neck and say "Wow, that rooster is going crazy!" Your bird looks aggressive, but needs that edge that makes it a fighter.

No criticism, just want to say that this is another incredible update. Keep up the great work!

And may I suggest an update to the Notre Dame leprechaun?

I've been looking for another to do. Notre dame is a good choice, but only so much can be done without losing the iconography of the logo. Got any other suggestions?
