mcrosby Posted September 6, 2013 Share Posted September 6, 2013 Back again with a college logo refresh.I've been wanting to do this one for a while and finally got the chance. Pretty straight forward here. The Gamecocks have a unique monicker and equally unique logo so I wanted to keep the overall shape the same (similar to the Navy refresh I recently did). It's not done yet, I feel like it might need some white highlights, and eventually I'll put a keyline around the whole thing. Until then, comment away! I honestly don't have anything negative to add. While I don't think you need it, I'm curious what it would look like to add some details to the wing/neck area. I think it might just muck it up, but I'm wondering what it'd look like with some shading or hint of feathers.Just a heads-up, it looks like the one feather (tallest one) flattened out on the keyline. rtrich11 Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 I think this is great. The only thing I'd want to see is some more indication of "frenzy" on the top of the neck. While the old logo is too busy, you can look at the neck and say "Wow, that rooster is going crazy!" Your bird looks aggressive, but needs that edge that makes it a fighter.
