Might've actually watched them. Who cares. The Halftime Show is basically now for the people who are being forced to watch the game who don't want to really watch it. Just wish it'd stop being hyped up more than the game itself.In what world is a halftime show hyped more than the game itself? I mean, it's the GD Super Bowl. LAWeaver Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT: Florida Georgia Line should be considered as a future Super Bowl halftime shoe. I know I've said it before, but they are great. I know someone has said that they don't want them to because it would bring out the "'murican" side of us, but I don't think that's hoe one should look at it. I think that whoever can come, put on a nice show, and throw a good freakin party, then they should get the halftime show. Florida Georgia Line did just that at a county fair about a half hour from where I live, which sold out instantly. We were lucky to have them and Colt Ford at the fair. No one knew Cruise would take off like it did, say, late last year, when they were scheduled. Personally, I'd choose Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, or some other big star who has been around the block. Then again, kinda like I was saying earlier in the thread, we don't remember all the years that SNL sucked because they've gone to the dustbin of history. FWIW, and I hate country, FGL is REALLY popular. They're not awful, either. Still country so I wouldn't wanna see it, but I could see that happening eventually. I for one really like the choice of Bruno Mars as halftime entertainment. I still won't bother watching because halftime is for getting more beer, but it's definitely better than the last few selections.
