Wow, they found perfection in all the way back in 1944 (IMO). That thing is so well balanced.

I really like the newest emblem from Man of Steel. Much better than the previous (literal) peice of plastic shyte from Superman Returns.

A massive stack of speakers

Watch Prisoners Online Production on the Troll Hunter remake is suspected to begin early next year in hopes of saving money by shooting in locations where snow still lies. Casting on the film is now beginning, and reportedly producers are looking for a star for the lead role which is presumably the titular huntsman. If not too much is changed from the original, the role will go to an older actor who comes off as both cantankerous and charismatic. Think Robert Shaw in Jaws. In the meantime, if you haven’t seen Troll Hunter I suggest you do so immediately on Netflix Instant, where it’s Now Streaming. This fedora makes me look like a circus hipster. Or it would, if not for the little white index card I wrote “press” on before I stuck it in the brim. Thanks to that I look like one of the kids from Newsies grew up, forgot to shave for a year, and then became a circus hipster. It’s a small difference, but an important one.

Watch Insidious Chapter 2 Online Both the hat and the card are there because Corey Feldman wants them there. Rest assured I don’t normally plan my wardrobe with input from the star of License to Drive. Right now, though, I have no choice. My editor, a deranged Ayahuasca addict whose sole claim to jounalistic fame is as the inventor of the term “torture porn”, assigned me to cover Feldman’s forty-third birthday party for Cinema Blend. I don’t think he actually wants to publish whatever I end up writing about it. Why would he? It’s Corey Feldman. He’s not even the good Corey.

Watch One Direction This Is Us Online You know why I’m really walking up this driveway answering the question: What would Humphrey Bogart look like in a Hawaiian shirt? I think my editor wants me dead. He’s too afraid of my vicious temper to fire me and I’m too afraid of my five bowls a day hookah habit to quit. Given those parameters, a workplace accident would seem the only way left to break this impasse. Why not? Mouth Devereaux’s McMansion time-share is as good a place to die as any.So I didn’t argue when he told me where I was going, and I didn’t argue when he told me I had to wear this stupid hat. Corey had some trouble last year with the reporter who was brought in to cover his forty-second birthday party, and only agreed to allow me inside his forty-third if I wore some sort of clear, but generally idiotic identifier. According to the former Goonie, “he won’t be able to trick me into lookin’ stupid if I can see him coming.” Somehow I don’t think I’ll have to trick him.

Watch We're The Millers Online I step on Corey’s rented porch and knock on his door with the all brazen energy of a nubile young co-ed taking her first turn around a stripper pole. I may not want to be here, but I’m a goddamn professional. The door opens and I’m immediately accosted by a woman so slathered in beauty products that at first I’m convinced she’s a female impersonator. That is, of course, ridiculous. No male to female transsexual would go this far, no one could ever believe in anyone wearing that much eyeliner.

Watch Riddick Online The female female impersonator lurches towards me and grabs my collar, slurring something about how much fun she’s having as she pulls me in and slams the door behind us. I cough, choking on the cloud of glitter that erupts from her body as she moves. Temporarily blinded by this storm of sparkle I’m unable to react as she reaches up and plucks my hat off my head.

Watch Lee Daniels The Butler Online “I’m having fun!” she says again before forcing my hat over her buoyantly blonde curls and disappearing into the depths of, what I assume, is supposed to be the party. I raise my hand feebly in protest, but she’s already gone.

Watch The Mortal Instruments City of Bones Online I briefly consider following the trail of glitter to retrieve my Feldman-mandated head covering only to decide it can’t hurt to find a drink first. With intoxication weighing on my mind, I push through a crowd which appears to consist solely of heavily perfumed women wearing white bikinis with glued on angel wings. Normally thrusting myself into a group this female and this scantily clad would be a pleasure, but each of them grabs me by the arm and says, “I’m having fun!” as I shoulder my way past. It’s not exactly the best environment for surreptitious groping.

The sea of excessively tan skin parts to reveal a living room, empty save for a massive stack of speakers and a platform on which someone has constructed a DJ booth. Corey’s there surrounded by a group of three men, none of whom wear ridiculous hats. Given all the audio equipment you’d expect there to be music, but so far the party’s silent except for the steady thrum of unsteady strippers reaffirming their enjoyment to anyone who happens to walk past. “I’m having fun!” another one says as I stop and consider my options.

You may actually know more

Watch Insidious Chapter 2 Online Cranston has been keeping very busy outside of his Breaking Bad responsibilities, and as a result has three features coming down the pike. Of the titles only Gareth Edward's Godzilla has a confirmed release date here in the United States, set to come out on May 16, 2014. We don't know when it will come out, but he will also soon be seen starring alongside Anna Kendrick and Miles Teller in the comedy Get a Job and the thriller Cold Comes The Night (which will actually be out in Ireland this weekend).

Watch Battle of the Year Online This means there will be no Pixar release coming to theaters in 2014 at all, and that the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory has been knocked domino-style from Thanksgiving 2015 to the summer of 2016. What demanded a schedule change of a year and a half? Well, that’d be because of a major change in direction, or at least director. Last summer, The Good Dinosaur director Bob Peterson (co-director of Up) was taken off the project. While this might sound like bad news for the future of the film, it’s worth noting this has become a pretty standard Pixar practice for better or worse. Memorably both Ratatouille and Brave underwent director change-ups in production, with the first swapping Jan Pinkava for Brad Bird and the latter switching Brenda Chapman for Mark Andrews.

Watch Elysium Online Though it has been a several weeks since news of Peterson’s departure was made public, Pixar hasn’t yet found a replacement helmer. To keep things rolling along on The Good Dinosaur, a team including Brave’s Andrews, Pixar Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter, Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich, and A Good Dinosaur’s initial co-director Peter Sohn have been sharing the workload. But it’s coming to the point where a singular creative vision could prove crucial to the film’s success, so more time needed to be added to find the right filmmaker to step in. Pixar president Ed Catmull explains their weighing of options, "Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film. Our conclusion was that we were going to give the [dinosaur] film some more time."

Watch We're The Millers Online How do you know it's now, officially fall movie season? An R-rated drama about kidnapping and torture is the #1 movie at the box office. Prisoners, starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal along with a laundry list of other big names, opened to a modest but respectable $7 million on Friday, according to the early numbers at Deadline. That puts it on track for $21 million for the weekend and an easy #1 spot, though to be fair, its competition wasn't exactly stiff. The weekend's other big release, Battle of the Year, never looked like much of a contest, opening on more than a thousand fewer screens than Prisoners and bringing in way less cash-- it made $1.4 million on Friday on its way to an estimated $4 million for the weekend. The dance competition movie wasn't exactly expensive, at a budget of $20 million, but it stands virtually no chance of making that back in theaters.

Watch The Conjuring Online Second place will belong to Insidious 2, a massive holdover hit that made $4.6 million on Friday and will notch another $13 million for the weekend (if you're seeing the film this weekend, make sure to enter our contest!) And though it won't make much of an impact at the box office, opening on barely more than 300 screens. the 3D re-vamp of The Wizard of Oz-- yes, this really happened-- is doing pretty well for itself, making more than $750,000 on Friday on its way to a $2.5 million weekend, good enough for ninth place behind Riddick.

Watch Prisoners Online So for now, the weekend is all about Prisoners, and for more on that we have lots of options for you-- both Eric and Sean's rave reviews, Sean's video interview with director Denis Villeneuve, our Operation Kino podcast review, and for something a little different, our celebration of cinematographer Roger Deakins, who made Prisoners and so many other movies look unspeakably gorgeous. You can also check out the trailer for Prisoners below:English director Neil Marshall has forged a reputation for himself in the horror genre helming the chilling werewolf tale Dog Soldiers and the nightmare fuel known as The Descent. After delving into a string of action-centered productions like Centurion and Game of Thrones, Marshall is returning to horror with the Troll Hunter remake. Deadline reports Marshall will get a pass at the script and go into pre-production on the feature as soon as he gets back from Ireland, where he’s currently at work on the “biggest” episode of Game of Thrones’s fourth season.

Watch The Ultimate Life Online As a guy who followed Cranston through Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle and Breaking Bad, it's really great to see the actor landing a lead role in a film. While he's certainly now considered a regular lead on the small screen, at the movies he's still been relegated to supporting roles, In movies like Contagion, Total Recall and Argo he was kept just left of the spotlight, Playing Dalton Trumbo could be an amazing opportunity for him, especially because Roach has shown skill when it comes to political-driven drama (see: Recount and Game Change).

For those of you who haven't seen any of the Trumbo movies mentioned above, the truth is that you may actually know more about the writer's work than you know. Have you ever heard the song "One" by Metallica? Well, that song was inspired by Trumbo's 1939 anti-war novel Johnny Got His Gun, which told the story of a soldier who was rendered deaf, dumb, blind and limbless in battle and lives the rest of his life trapped inside his own body. In fact, when Metallica made their music video from the song their included clips from the 1971 adaptation of the film, which Trumbo wrote and directed himself. You can watch the video below: Over the past few years, movie audiences have come to expect a new Pixar movie every year. And with each year and each exciting new release, our expectations for the next grow, making it harder and harder to impress us all. And with so many eyes on everything they put out, the storytellers at Pixar have seriously shaken up their schedule. LA Times has revealed the animation studio is bumping their 2014 release The Good Dinosaur from May 30th, 2014, all the way to November 25th, 2015.

Excessively tan skin parts

Watch Insidious Chapter 2 Online The original Troll Hunter was a Norwegian film written and directed by André Øvredal. Set in Scandinavia, its story centered on a trio of college students making a documentary short on a peculiar poaching problem plaguing the regions. But as they track these incidents, they come across a strange man who they believe knows more than he lets on. One night, after following him into the woods, they are shocked to discover he’s no poacher killing bears, but a troll hunter. Yup! Trolls are real, massive and very dangerous. The beleaguered and lonely hunter decides to share his story, and the students end up following him into the wilds of Norway where adventure awaits.

Watch Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters Online Blending a wry sense of humor with an ardent sense of wonder while mixing found footage horror with satirical mockumentary, Øvredal’s imaginative thriller won critical praise, a coveted spot at Sundance in 2011, and ultimately the notice of Home Alone director Chris Columbus. His production company 1492 snatched up remake rights for Trollhunter in June of 2011, and selected DreamWorks executive turned screenwriter Marc Haimes to draft the adapted screenplay. At the time, Columbus said: Troll Hunter was a visceral, thrilling, cinematic rock and roller coaster ride of a movie. Visually, there are scenes in this film that American audiences have never seen. We want to introduce an international audience to this amazing moviegoing experience.”

Watch Despicable Me 2 Online God forbid Americans watch a movie with subtitles. But if there had to be a remake of this terrifically fun and original movie, at least they hired someone like Marshall. The guy has obvious skills with horror and building tension, as evident through The Descent and Dog Soldiers. And he’s shown himself to be an incredible director of action with the “Blackwater” episode of Game of Thrones season two. While I’ll always love the original Troll Hunter, I am at least hopeful Marshall’s version will be engaging and scary. Sadly, there’s no mention in the Deadline announcement that Øvredal will be involved in the remake, which is a shame as his designs of the first film’s trolls were a major part of its success. It’ll also be interesting to see what a much bigger budget brings to the story. While Øvredal’s film cost an estimated $3.5 million in US dollars, Columbus’s production is earmarked at $25 mil, which presumably buys a lot of trolls and potentially a big star.

Watch Insidious Chapter 2 Online Directed by Bad Teacher's Jake Kasdan and based on an original screenplay by Kate Angelo, the story centers on a married couple (played by Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz) who realize that their relationship has hit a rut. When they are able to get the kids out of the house they try to mix things up a little bit by making a sex tape - but this plan goes horribly awry when the "footage is accidentally synched to a handful of other devices...including her mother’s and the mailman’s." The duo then set out on a mission to try and destroy all of the copies of the tape. As the script went through pre-production revisions were made by Segel, Kasdan and Nicholas Stoller, who was originally attached to direct before being forced to drip out due to scheduling issues.

Watch The Conjuring Online It’s hard to put Armie Hammer in a lead role next to the loud, comical and wild Johnny Depp and expect the Social Network actor to stand out and play the hero. Orlando Bloom was able to step up and do it in Pirates, but that script made it a whole lot easier on him. Here, Hammer plays the title character alongside Depp’s Tonto. Together, the two team up to take down some raider bad guys who are doing some dirty deals related to a silver mine in the wild west. There are explosions, plenty of cool camera shots and some fun to be had. You can check out the Blu-ray trailer, below. It’s an explosive couple hours of fun, and several times The Lone Ranger surpasses its lukewarm plotline and gives fans reasons to truly invest in the film. The Blu-ray release is for the fans who were more than luke warm, though. It lists for a rather expensive $39.99, although Amazon has it available for pre-order at a sale price. Those who haven’t caught the movie may want to consider catching it On Demand or even via the easy breezy Digital Release.
