hettinger_rl
I've made a logo for my theiving alma mater Stanley County High School in Fort Pierre, SD. They've always stolen their logos from college, pro (Colorado, Buffalo Bills) and online clipart. They are the Buffaloes and this is what I came up with. Please give your thoughts. rcb05
I think you could mess with the eyes to make it look more aggressive, but this is an awesome start. Also the lines overall aren't as smooth as they could be, but that may be a result of the program you're using to design it.
rtrich11
More agressive eyes and that line that goes from the eyes to the horns somehow throws off perspective. Well, it's that, and the curve where the horn meets the head is too deep. It makes it look like the horns are facing forward, not on the side of the head. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
hettinger_rl
I had left that forehead space for the school letters actually. I'm trying to decide if I want to draw them out or use existing fonts. As for the eyes; I'm going for a more noble/regal/crest style than aggressive. However, I have done some aggessive looking bison logos before (http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/65296-okc-thunder-concept/?hl=hettinger_rl)(http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/77441-bisonbuffalo-logo-set/?hl=hettinger_rl)(http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/83708-okc-thunder/?hl=hettinger_rl). I did change the horn area slightly and I dropped some light area around the nose, I felt this brings the nose forward more.
jaha32
It looks somewhat human to me as if it is a wise old buffalo man with an enlarged cranium. If you have to alter the accurate anatomy of the animal to fit letters into some space, it means the idea is being forced - one of those ideas that seems like a good idea when brainstorming in your head but when it comes time to put it on paper, just doesn't fall into placed as planned. Maybe the top of the head should actually be bigger?
