The Sixers lost like 15 in a row on the road and started the west coast trip by losing at Phoenix, but then they won at the Lakers, at Denver, at Sacramento and at Portland to finish it off

Cavs acquire Luol Deng from the Bulls for Andrew Bynum and their 1st round draft pick they originally acquired from the Kings.

Speaking of suspended players, it looks like Andre Miller may be on his way to the Kings.

To clarify:

Cavs send Andrew Bynum's expiring deal to Chicago along with the Kings' future 1st rounder from the Omri Casspi trade, two second rounders from Portland in 2015, and the right to swap 1st round picks with the Cavs in 2015 (Top 14 protected).

Not bad I guess. Deng definitely needed to go since it was pretty clear they weren't going to be building around him going forward. I'm hoping/guessing they'll cut Bynum before he puts on a Bulls jersey, so I guess a first and two seconds was a decent haul for Deng on an expiring contract.

Again, there was a reason why all other 29 teams said "no" to Brian Shaw. He cannot handle adversity, nor is he a leader. In fact, the only team he should be coaching is the NBABADL's Charlotte Krunk. Get this guy the :censored: outta Denver!

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/nba-pay-two-brothers-500-165704100.html

The NBA has finally broken free from what may have been the worst contract in the history of professional sports.

The NBA will pay two brothers $500 million to end a deal that required the league to give the former ABA owners an annual share of the league's television revenue according to Richard Sandomir of The New York Times.

As part of the NBA-ABA merger in 1976, Ozzie and Daniel Silna accepted a share of the NBA's "visual media" rights in exchange for folding their ABA franchise, the Spirits of St. Louis. The deal was to last "in perpetuity." With the growth of the NBA and its television revenue, the brothers were receiving 1.9% of the revenue in recent years, or about $17.7 million annually.

DUMB. DUMB. DUMB. Take that money in perpetuity! RIP, greatest deal ever.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Andrew Bynum was waived by the Bulls today.

The last two years of his career are so disappointing. He was part of the last great Lakers team, and really looked like he had the makings of the next great NBA big man. It's too bad his stupid knees did what they did, and it's too bad he decided to (apparently) quit on his career.

For a guy that came in super young, he matured super quickly on the NBA's biggest team. I really thought he would be a transcendent, Moses Malone-type player. Instead he's either going to sit on the bench on the Heat or the Clippers to collect garbage minutes and garbage fouls, or call it a career and do nothing.

:(

You nailed it. Drafted young, cronic knees and not mush of a real desire to play sums Bynum up.

The SI story from 2011 showed where his heart really is and it's really not basketball.

Bynum was never going to play for the Bulls, and after the very different things that happened in Philly and Cleveland, I'm not sure anyone will take a serious chance on him.

It's amazing how far from grace he's fallen, basketball-wise, after leaving the Lakers. At least he put up decent numbers as a Laker to back up all the nuttiness he did, like hitching rides to the Playboy mansion. But like Lamar Odom, Bynum appeared to have crestfallen after management decided to deal him to another team, though he really never blended into committing to play basketball full-time.

T-Wolves now 0-7 trying to get over .500 and 0-10 in games decided by 4 pts or less. Almost all of those losses, it seems, have been created by Rubio turnovers. Three in the last minute tonight.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."
