do you have pictures of what you're talking about

In person these were incredibly reflective. The photos don't do it justice.

well it's an alternate from last season, that hasn't been used much at all so that answers your questions a little.

Sigh, and OF COURSE they just had to use that stupid Reds white cap with the red pinstripes. I've only been looking for a Reds solid red throwback cap with the flat logo since I was in Little League (That was the very first "Pro Fit" New Era 59Fifty I ever saw, and is basically the very cap that got me into fitted caps). I could've overlooked the New Era logo, or even just used a seam ripper to take it out if that was the case.

Oh well. The search continues, I guess.

What size are you looking for? There is a nice one in 7 1/2 up on Ebay for a good price. Old stock pops up once in awhile there.Vintage Old School Cincinnati REDS New Era Pro Model Fitted Hat-7 1/2 NWT, NOS

There's a second collection on Lids called "High Crown Legacy Collection" that has this one. Not sure if by flat logo you meant in terms of the raised embroidery or just without the shadow underneath but this one isn't as flat as the white pinstriped cap.

Doy, I never would've even thought of E Bay to check for one. Good find! I wear a 7 5/8 so that would probably be slightly small on me. I'll have to check E Bay every so often from here on out. Thanks.

I actually picked one of these caps up from Mickey's Place a few years ago, but it's one of the rare swings and misses from them. The embroidery is raised like the current logo, and the bill is absurdly crooked.

It's regular old tackle twill now, which can reflect some night. But I'd never call that "chrome".

Did you see the picture? They're wearing them again tonight too. That's definitely chrome. Looks even more chromey on tv than in person.

It's just grey numbers, probably as a nod to the Darryl Strawberry era uniforms.

If it was chrome then there would be a 30 page thread on here with everyone going insane that the Mets have lost their damn minds.

The material makes it look the way it is, for example, I know the gold on the Brewers uniforms can look really shiny sometimes.

Do the Cool Base jerseys you buy retail have the Velcro patch where the script overlaps the buttons? I feel like I read that a few times but the one I just got off MLB Shop does not. It's a nice piece overall. Somehow the screened on authentic tag already had a small nick in it but I like the jersey well. The hem is long as can be, though.

It varies. I own a black A's Cool Base that has a velcro and a white one that has no velcro. The reason why the black one has the velcro is the script. The flap actually cuts through one of the letters, thus the use of the velcro to keep the sript legible. The white jersey doesn't have a letter cut right through the middle

Go A's!

Marlins wore their BP caps with their regular white unis Friday night. They had been wearing the orange caps on Fridays and the BP cap with their black alts on Saturdays this season.

I'm wondering and also hoping they might wear the orange cap with their black or orange alts this weekend.

I agree with what another poster said - if I had to bet, I'd bet on maroon-white-maroon.

They definitely would not have used any light blue, because a.) they weren't using that color at all by that time, and b.) it was never officially one of their colors, and didn't start showing up on merchandise until the relatively recent "retro craze" started.

Those caps were so rare. I'm not even sure if the team wore them in spring training, or if they just wore the '91 version without the logo. Finding a picture of the back of someone's head from spring training that year might be the only way to ever know, because there's zero chance of ever finding one of those caps for sale.

Rare, but I managed to snag one from Wayne Sporting Goods in 1992. I'd still wear it if my wife wasn't so put off by its filth. Anyway, I read this and then took a couple of pics. Check this out.

Great find - it's almost as though they considered the blue an official color.

Nope. Gray. Gray tackle-twill, which can sometimes catch the light.

I've seen it in pictures, on tv and in person. It's gray.

That's not the official hat that was ever worn on the field. The gold logo was never worn by the phillies

Well they said earlier in the thread it was never worn on the field, but just sold in stores in 1992 before the phillies new uniforms came, also I don't think the logo is gold, but just dirty and from sweat it yellowed.
