AkSaber 3 Posted September 15, 2014 Mariners wearing teal on a Sunday. Typically only worn for Mondays and Fridays (at home). Anybody know why they broke out the "Marineros" jerseys last night? They did that last year too, on a Wednesday against the Astros. I figured it was because the team had done so well in them.
jrodsep 567 Posted September 16, 2014 Side note:How many of us see ichiro in Seattle for the end of his career? How many see the Mariners honoring his career like the Astros did for Biggio and wear different uni's from his career? How many might see a Orix Blue Wave jersey being worn once?1. I actually expect him to go back to Seattle and getting his 3,000 MLB hit wearing the Mariners uniform (he roughly needs 160 more hits)2. Like WSU said, he has only worn one kind of Mariners uni's3. A Orix Blue Wave inspired Mariner jersey is an interesting idea though (They look awfully close to the Mariners throwbacks):

bosrs1 1,288 Posted September 19, 2014 So if what the AFL Front Office was telling me last month is true, this will be the new on field caps this season during the Fall League. And the same style will be the on field cap next season for MLB as well. This DiamondEra of course replacing the old 5950 cap which looked like this...
Anubis2051 178 Posted September 20, 2014 This is interesting. The MLB shop has the original stars and stripes hats (from 2008) on sale in Diamond era:http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?productId=44087096&cp=1452360.1452526.2016109from '08
Tigers6884 493 Posted September 20, 2014 I really hope that Diamond Era hats don't become the next version of pullover uniforms, where teams gave up great traditional looks to make a fashion statement (or something like that).
tp49 1,098 Posted September 20, 2014 Diamond Era caps are fine for batting practice but if they change the game hats to this I'm making a run on Lids to snag as many current Yankee hats in my size as I can.

And the same style will be the on field cap next season for MLB as well. This DiamondEra of course replacing the old 5950 cap which looked like this...I'm assuming two things with this. First off, the AFL On Field 59Fifty caps will be just as impossible to find as they've always been (Usually just one run a season, sold only at the ballparks during games). I also assume, and this is a total hunch with no proof to back it up, that it won't be a total switch to the new material caps, but similar to the CoolBase jerseys where it'll be another option. I've worked for/with them several times over the past decade and I know this much, New Era isn't stupid enough to completely ditch their bread and butter. BTW, anyone seen these yet?

cappital92 46 Posted September 21, 2014 I really liked the logo MLB's been using for the postseason, and I thought it would've fit nicely as a patch. Not too high on this one. Of course, no one's really buying the postseason caps because they like the side patch (although I could see a few fans turned off from buying a new hat), so it's not really a problem.
GriffinM6 1,380 Posted September 21, 2014 I like the Diamnond Era caps. If the players like them better, then I say they should use them full time.

Phils Phan 60 Posted September 22, 2014 Go f*** yourselves Giants, God pro sports is so obsessed with squeezing out every last cent, and you have the audacity to act like you need to do this for ticket prices not to go up? F*** you, there goes the respect I had for that franchise for privately funding their stadium a decade and a half ago.
