The cap to me is about simplicity and over-complicating it, especially with a clunky logo like the A's isn't that great for a cap. If the A's on the cap were white, then I would agree with you, but given that it was yellow and the jersey had yellow with white outline, it just didn't work for me. I think it would be one of those classic iconic marks, as opposed to their current A's, which certainly looks ok, but IMO is just too much. A simple initial will work - we know what team you're on. Plus, it gives it a nice separation from the Braves A (Not that anyone would really ever confuse the two, but it's a nice little unique addition). It would look odd, but if it had nearly 100 years of history dating back to Philly, it would have that iconic feel.Now, the "apostrophe, S" is kinda quirky and odd too, but the A's have had it for some time, so it has a nice little place in MLB. Much better than when the Orioles used an "O's" alt cap or the late 1980s Mariners "M's" logo (which thankfully never made a cap). Those seemed odd when they came out (OK, I suppose Oakland may have too) and they were kinda "copy cat". Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." But it doesn't apply to all teams though. The Nationals will never use it because they already use Nats as a shortened nickname for example Go A's!
