I hope not. Gold doesn't work. Just look at the Warriors old Gold alt

You possibly mean the Kings' old alternate? Regardless, I think a gold-navy alternate would work very well for the Pelicans, as long as it's not a shiny material like the Kings' used to be. There are already too much red unis in the league as it is.

Sounds good -- current Blazers set is feeling a little dated, and they've got a look that works best when it stays close to the same idea but updates every few years or so. I just hope they fix the mismatched fonts and diagonal stripes between the alt and the other 2 on the next set.

Overhaul or Color Changes:

Thunder (something better than they have now)

Raptors (black, gold, white)

Rockets (red, yellow, white)

Grizzlies (navy blue, gold, white)

Cavaliers (black, orange, light blue, white)

Hawks (red, gold, black, white)

Minor Changes:

Timberwolves (get some green into the jerseys)

Kings (trash that horrible uniform template)

Nets (less bland of a template)

Bobcats (coming with name change to Hornets)

Wizards (new uniforms)

Heat (have red uniform as the main road one)

Mavericks (change wordmark on road to silver)

I understand it's a patriotic city

It's not about being a patriotic city. It's about being named for the American Revolution and date of independence. Sixers not being in r/w/b would be and was like the Red Sox or Reds (or, maybe more comparably, the Cardinals) dropping red from their scheme.
