Regardless, I think a gold-navy alternate would work very well for the Pelicans, as long as it's not a shiny material like the Kings' used to be. It's about being named for the American Revolution and date of independence. Sixers not being in r/w/b would be and was like the Red Sox or Reds (or, maybe more comparably, the Cardinals) dropping red from their scheme.
