Bmac 892 Posted January 30, 2019 The split color word mark on the road jersey makes it seem like they literally couldn't decide if they wanted to be red or black. Red lettering carries over from the home, but could leave a black cap feeling out of place. The sock and undershirt pairings are also odd, but perhaps that'll be different on the field.
Fresno St. Alum 270 Posted January 30, 2019 We changed again huh. When I was on the grounds crew the 1st 2 years, we were Giants which made sense since everyone is a Giants or Dogders fan here w a few A's. We should be the Tacos full time. It fits our area and everyone loves that gear.

Discrim 1,278 Posted January 31, 2019 Well, I know the Grizzlies are the Orlando Predators of MiLB in that slash marks are kinda their thing...but the execution should have been far better. Instead, we see an injured version of your mascot and nigh illegible jersey scripts. This has potential, but should have been better thought out

These minor league clubs need to stop trying to match their parent clubs (whether in colors or uniforms). When they keep changing affiliates, they keep changing their identity.

I wouldn't call this change "trying to match the Grizzlies parent club". if anything this is a new design, trying to separate itself from the former Giants esque scheme (a former affiliate) that had some dashes of Astros in there.

Fun fact: that design/branding was *also* done by Brandiose (although they were still going by Plan B at that time). I agree though, in terms of concept and connection to the region, the Craftsman/Art Decco look is the best they've ever had... although the grizzly rendering hasn't aged particularly well.

Pengin. 213 Posted January 31, 2019 Super thick lines with a static, angry, animal forced with bear claw marks. Should have been executed better. I like Brandiose's work but the entire identity is underwhelming.

El Scorcho 431 Posted February 1, 2019 The uniforms and wordmark are garbage but I like the slashing bear logo, and overall the logo package is pretty good.

jaha32 210 Posted February 1, 2019 The only issue with the new Fresno set is that they could’ve toned down the slashes on everything but the word mark still manages to be legible. Other than that, this shows that the Brandiose style still works when working on a more traditional team name. And even if you don’t care for the team name Pit Spitters, that Michigan emblem is one of the most creative logos I’ve ever seen, especially the leaves forming the UP.
FiddySicks 11,218 Posted February 2, 2019 I couldn’t disagree more about the Fresno set. It reminds me of those trashy bootleg California Republic snapbacks you can buy at the liquor store in seedy neighborhoods.
