The short-season Class A Aberdeen IronBirds are named in honor of their team owner, the Iron Man Cal Ripken Jr., as well as their parent club, the Baltimore Orioles, who are often called the Birds by fans. But for one […]

That wordmark is almost a graffiti font.  I don't get the usage, but I dig it.  I would love to see graffiti on a jersey

The tail on the Y is a bit heavy-handed on the jersey.

^ Be that as it may, I'm coppin' me one of those--and the cap--the next time I pass back through there. I'm loving that.

Really like these. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument is a fantastic centerpiece to a great city. I like the solid blue pullover jersey, the recolored logo, and the pinstripe pants to boot.

May want to amend the article title to correct the city name's spelling, though.

Really a big fan of these alternates. And the fact that it actually plays off the city nickname rather than a gimmick is super appealing.

Agreed.

I'm incredibly pleased they didn't unveil "Indy Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches" unis.

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. Or the "Indy Shrimp Cocktails." Although the existing Jumbo Shrimp team may have warded that off.

But the real question for the Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches is if the cap logo would include mustard or mayo.

Reference to the NDY statues the tourism folks put up around town a few years ago, but it doesn't quite look right in this application.

The Cavs did that with their alts this year, and they were even bigger turds.

100% agreed. Mustard all the way and is the king of condiments.

Love the Circle City uniforms. That cap is sweet. This kind of 'alternate' is such a breath of fresh air from all the silly food/local reference identities. It reminds me more of the NBA's city uniforms programs.

I think that cap logo is great.

Solid reference to the city flag.

And so much better than their regular logo.

If only they could manage an "I" in there, it would be perfect.

I would quip back to not tell the Pacers, but if that meant they'd get rid of the Hickory jerseys for good ... I'd be fine with that.
