Gothamite 23,652 Posted November 17, 2015 Holy . Everything in that set is worse than the thing before it. A total fest. Except that O-bolt cap logo. That's a thing of rare beauty, if a bit on the super-hero side. Doesn't belong with anything else there.
Sodboy13 5,544 Posted November 17, 2015 That O-Bolt jersey looks like the byproduct of a Clockwork Orange-style rehabilitation in which the unwilling participant was forced to sit through countless hours of The Big Bang Theory, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and 1999 MLB Turn Ahead The Clock games, with the audio tracks for all three randomly juxtaposed.

teddthebucfan 246 Posted November 17, 2015 NO. NO. Just no. Even for the minor leagues, this is not a uniform design this a design for an overpriced $25 t-shirt that you buy in the gift shop right after getting off of the roller coaster.
YELDARBfield 233 Posted November 17, 2015 Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class A Midwest League, Tampa Bay Rays) unveiled their new logos and uniforms today.Logos:Uniforms:Somehow, the worst part about this rebrand is the BS "design-speak" in their logo intro video: https://www.facebook.com/bghotrods/videos/vb.54223721815/10153090981296816/?type=2&theaterSeven lines representing the other teams in their division? Ten dots to represent the counties their STHs are from? Calling that deep grape color "blue" to honor the Commonwealth of Kentucky? Sooooooo bad.

jrodsep 567 Posted November 18, 2015 Yard Goats unies!Would have loved a smaller wordmark but I like it a lot.
The Mojo Maniac 49 Posted November 18, 2015 Yard Goats unies!Beautiful set. My only dislike is the Sunday uni. What's with the contrasting placket? Also doesn't help that set that it includes my least-favorite hat of the bunch.Otherwise, I'm sold!
MBurmy 1,134 Posted November 18, 2015 I think that for a name which had us ALL (myself included) panicking, they did a pretty good job with the identity package.
RyanB06 79 Posted November 18, 2015 Pics of the actual home and road. The wordmarks aren't as large as shown on the mock-up.
Geoff 575 Posted November 18, 2015 The guy modeling the O-bolt jersey sums it up. "Welp, this POS is a thing that exists."
Sodboy13 5,544 Posted November 18, 2015 That Yard Goats Sunday jersey is something I'd probably never like if you described it to me, but looking at it, that's my favorite of the set. If they all came out of Brandiose looking like this, we probably wouldn't use Brandiose as an epithet. This is good work.
Gothamite 23,652 Posted November 18, 2015 Pics of the actual home and road. The wordmarks aren't as large as shown on the mock-up.I think the marks are too whispy to work well. They're great on paper but not substantial enough on a uniform. Good set, but not great.
-kj 2,329 Posted November 18, 2015 I like the wordmarks, but I think they're hurt by the placket piping. They're not thick/strong enough to sit on top of it without getting a bit lost.
Digby 6,105 Posted November 18, 2015 A thought I've always had about minor league alt-mania, but particularly when looking at the very minute differences between elements of the Yard Goats set: how do little minor league clubs sell enough of five marginally-different hats for it to be profitable?
Raysfan12 129 Posted November 18, 2015 Don't tell me if this is the new logo for the Louisville Bats.
RyanB06 79 Posted November 18, 2015 We'll know for sure on the 23rd.If it is, it's not bad. But looks more appropriate for a Cardinals affiliate, which Louisville is not.
FinsUp1214 5,553 Posted November 18, 2015 Don't tell me if this is the new logo for the Louisville Bats.If it is...I really like the logo a lot, but don't like the colors. Even if there was an affiliation change, there's no reason for them to step away from purple and black.
FlyingLamprey 114 Posted November 18, 2015 Oh man, Hartford looks amazing. Wish they would use the "YG" hat in a greater capacity, but other than that, no major complaints. How about the Syracuse Chiefs finally upgrading their logos? Puts them more in line with the rest of the Nationals' farm system and gets rid of the old Blue Jays color scheme:
the admiral 28,190 Posted November 18, 2015 The Old English S doesn't match the heavily serifed SC. The heavily serifed SC doesn't match the streamlined chrome wordmark. The streamlined chrome wordmark doesn't match the old geometric Indian head. The concept of an Indian chief, geometric or otherwise, doesn't match the concept of a railroad chief engineer. I can't make any sense out of this.
