Raysfan12 129 Posted November 23, 2015 And it's official...the Louisville Bats are switching to red, white and blue.Red, white and blue are traditional colors...for the REDBIRDS. Black and purple were the Bats' tradition, and they will be back in three years' time, I predict.I like the logo and font on the new identity but the color scheme is a huge downgrade. I would like to see this in their old colors though.
LAWeaver 948 Posted November 23, 2015 While the primary and monogram are both improvements, uhh.....good grief, what the heck? The thing doesn't even have a neck.
Gothamite 23,650 Posted November 23, 2015 I like it! All the new bats are great. Are those bats dotting the "i"s in "Louisville"?Monograms should never include the mascot's initials, though. Points off.And how pathetic is it that teams are now introducing their flag-desecration unforms as part of the regular unveiling? Save it for a "special" announcement, boys. No need to foul the nest right away.

Gothamite 23,650 Posted November 23, 2015 Okay, that's worth a couple points.
FiddySicks 11,031 Posted November 23, 2015 The R/W/B is absolutely stupid, but the set itself is pretty solid. That road wordmark with the bats dotting the i's is awesome.Another annoying thing, and I always hate when teams do this. The bat logo is wearing a navy cap with a red bull and a solid LB logo. Why in the world doesn't the team either have that exact hat as an option, or why is the logo wrong on their alternate logo?
Ferdinand Cesarano 4,541 Posted November 23, 2015 And 1888? No. That's a Nationals-level of baseless pretention. A Texas League was founded in 1888, but you're not that league.A central park.

TBGKon 2,589 Posted November 23, 2015 Red, white, and a dark purple would have been a nice compromose though...

rvrdgsfn 94 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) I think someone beat me to it but I think Louisville's new set is good, I just wish it was still black & purple. Edited November 24, 2015 by rvrdgsfn
NW980 0 Posted November 24, 2015 Longtime lurker, so go easy on me. Hopefully the pictures work.....The United Shore Professional Baseball League (all 3 teams at one ballpark) unveiled their logos yesterday. Can anyone else think of a team nickname being the Unicorns? Logos are pretty basic, although I do enjoy that the frog is catching a fly-ball.

Gothamite 23,650 Posted November 24, 2015 Yeah, that's nice.I think the purple text might be a little too dark against the black, but that's a minor quibble.

Bobster 327 Posted November 24, 2015 That is one angry unicorn.Actually, "Unicorns" was one of the names considered in 1946 when the Boston team in the Basketball Association of America decided to go with "Celtics"
