The cameras return to that crying Kansas fan. Man, what a bad feeling that must be. Dawkins needed a run like this, he was definitely on the hot seat entering the season.

He was "tournament or fired" going into the year from the AD whole inherited him.

No kid fanbase can be seen in tears more than a kid whole roots for a Big 12 team. Sooner kid, Longhorn kid, KState, KU...the director answer cameramen know where they always are.

Then after the game, Nantz had to add, "and the tears have returned".

Now my bracket is busted and its the second straight year that a Wichita State game dealt the crushing blow.

Last year I had Gonzaga losing in the title game, they got knocked out by Wichita in the second round. This year Wichita took Gonzaga's place and same result. Second round exit round exit in a hard fought game.

Probably be rooting a little for Dayton for here on out, but don't really have a dog in the fight anymore.

Great game ruined by horrible officiating down the stretch. Wichita State was for real.

Kentucky came together as a team in the second half of their game at Florida.

Aside from their 1-point loss to Florida in the SEC Tournament, they've been rolling since then.

It gets worse, kiddo.

You did the state proud, Mercer!

It's really surprising to see three SEC teams in the Sweet 16. The rest of the conference was hot garbage, but Florida and Kentucky were head-and-shoulders above everyone, and Tennessee finally got their act together.

Kentucky will always be basketball-first, but seeing Florida and Tennessee routinely making the tournament and making sustained runs frustrates the folks that want to be Georgia basketball fans, especially with all the basketball talent the state produces, especially the city of Atlanta. Over the weekend, you hear so many players coming from this state going to these big-time programs. Mark Fox seems to be a good coach, according to his coaching peers and the media....but the talent just isn't coming here. And when there is a talent, he seems to misuse him. (How the hell does a team with a losing record have the conference's player of the year?)

Georgia needs to find a way to keep all this basketball talent in the state. Same goes for the other state schools. Mercer will be what they'll be, Georgia State knows they have to recruit in an unorthodox way, the other schools will always be second-fiddle.....but there's no reason why Georgia and Georgia Tech shouldn't be annual participants in the NCAA Tournament, or at least in the conversation.

With the possibility of the ACC not having any teams in the Sweet 16 since their only remaining team is Virginia.

Yes, that's the flipside of that game. Kentucky finally played like the preseason #1, just when they needed to the most.

I'm just glad Kentucky is on the other side of the bracket. The odds are really long of it happening anyway, but the possibility I fear more than anything else is a fourth Florida/Kentucky meeting with the 'Cats FINALLY beating Florida in the game that matters most. That would be excruciating to deal with, and I fear it because Kentucky is too talented to remain Florida's bitch forever this season.

I don't like Louisville at all for several reasons, but they really need to be the ones to slow Kentucky's roll.
