FiddySicks
Diamondbacks and Angels working on a deal for Mark Trumbo. Angels want Tyler Skaggs and either Wade Miley or Patrick Corbin. Diamondbacks do not want to part ways with either Miley or Corbin and they are trying to dangle Didi Gregorious or Chris Owings. Been reading this via Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic/Azcentral.com via twitter. The D Backs would be pretty foolish to deal both Skaggs and Miley for Trumbo, and they'd be full blown retards if they made it Skaggs and Corbin. Skaggs and Gregorious/Owings for Trumbo, though? HA! The Angels would have to be the slow ones to accept that. Kramerica Industries
I don't understand the appeal of Trumbo, anyway. He's about as much of a meathead player as they come. Strikes out a ton, doesn't walk, can't play in the field, NL would mean no DH, I mean, sure, he can slug home runs, but there's virtually nothing else he brings to the table. McCall
There's always some appeal to having a 30+ HR/100 RBI guy in the line-up. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
Anthony.
I'm a huge fan of Skaggs and would hate to see him leave. I would be okay with Cahill for Trumbo. But I think that's highly unlikely that the Angels would accept that offer.

monkeypower
Now saying that the White Sox would get Eaton in,a 3 way deal with the Angels and DBacksMight be official nowhttps://twitter.com/nickpiecoro/status/410499135700082688If this goes through, I really like this move. I like Trumbo and he's a local (to Anaheim) kid but he's kind of a one dimensional player and a liability in the field if not playing first. However, I don't get what the D-Backs are thinking in this. No DH for Trumbo in the NL and Goldschmidt at first.
Kramerica Industries
All I can say is yikes, because that's an abysmal trade from the Arizona perspective.
FiddySicks
All I can say is yikes, because that's an abysmal trade from the Arizona perspective.Yeah they definitely overpaid by sending Eaton to the Sox. Skaggs was expendable because of how many young starters Arizona had, but dealing Eaton to the Sox is a bit of a head scratcher. Sure he was hurt for a big chunk of last season, but he was supposed to be one of the future cornerstones of this team. Oh well, it's a worthwhile risk to get Goldy some protection in that lineup... At least for now. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
Anthony.
I honestly don't know what goes through Kevin tower's mind. This is another trade that makes me wonder where the state of the franchise is heading. Ugh..

I see no value in dumping Anderson and cash for Pomeranz... What is Billy Beane up to now?
BigBubba
Roy Halladay will sign a one-day contract with the Blue Jays and then retire. Thanks for everything, Roy. One of the best and classiest players in franchise history. It's a shame you couldn't finish with a ring. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. CS85
So the Cubs are taking yet another offseason "off" due to what Hoyer is calling "economical reasons." They're using the Mariners as a template, apparently, and feel like their young guys aren't ready yet. Once they're ready, I guess that's when they'll spend some dough. How many titles have the Mariners won in the last 20 years again? They've had 2 winning seasons since 2004 and have only won 6 total playoff games since 1977, never once winning a series. They can revamp the exterior of Wrigley and beautify the neighborhood, but it's extremely hard to remain a fan of a franchise who's deliberately pissing into the wind. I'm stuck with them, unfortunately. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board.
