Tygers09
How does the SMU Mustangs and the Calgary Stampeders use the same logo? The same for the Green Bay Packers and the Grambling State Tigers "G" logo. Did one ask the other for permission to use that logo, or is it a non copyrighted/trademarked logo that everyone can use? I ask this because many times you have to ask for permission, or buy/acquire the rights of a logo in order to use use one. Can someone please explain this? McCall
Deals are worked out between the team who owns it and the team who wants to use it. Usually at least. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
MJWalker45
I know when Massillon Tigers used the flying tiger from Hamilton's rebranding they paid to use it for two years. Part of the deal allowed for recoloring the logo to match Massillon's colors.
Gothamite
Grambling (and Georgia, and some others) all license the "G" from the Green Bay Packers. You can't just steal another team's logo, no matter how many high schools try. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
