pepis21
Sleveless jerseys, hmm intresting but what about:1. Players who don't wear base layer under jersey? They can't play only in vest, beacuse Fifa has banned it (vide Cameroon 2002).2. What if player likes to wear long sleeve jersey (I mean jersey not base layer)?Next thing, adidas already experiment with sleeves and sleeveless, so next should be long sleeves. Long sleeves in baseball? American football?
illini1
Apparently Adidas is just copying off of Nike's new lacrosse jerseys. It's hard to tell in this picture, but they're sleeveless. Syracuse will wear these this season

Gothamite
Yep, ugly. And too many Puma logos - that's almost as bad as a Kappa shirt. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
VictoriaGooner
Waaay too much going on here.Well I actually like the new Puma AFC kits. They have incorporated the colors and designs of kits from the club's past. Yes Puma puts their logo everywhere but at least it's a new design compared to the recent many from Nike that are out of the box basic cookie cutter design Arsenal has had. I welcome the new kits and will be buying them both THE SHORT FUSE | ARSEBLOG

Same as United and Juventus. The stripes on the side are unnecessary in my opinion. I think the shirt worn by Henry looked way better.

VictoriaGooner
I'm referring to the current Arsenal home kit. Many clubs have used the same design just changes in color combinations. Arsenal doesn't get kits designs to themselves for a full year before other Nike clubs can use it. I wish we had sole proprietary rights to designs but not the case. I have seen Serie A clubs (Juventus namely) use the same design. But thankfully with Puma we will have own design for many years. MJWalker45
I've only seen Arsenal wear the current home shirt design. I believe it's similar to a team template that has been used by Nike for other teams, but their current kit is theirs alone. And I'm sure Puma will let someone else wear a similar design if that team asks to use it. The colors may be different but there are always similarities across each seasons templates regardless who makes them.
GFB
Arsenal has also worn that home jersey for 2 years... Last year, they had that jersey design all to themselves; this year, Nike began spreading that template around.
VictoriaGooner
There was a report that was released by Arsenal.com and I think the Guardian stated that Nike broke their agreement with Arsenal to have sole rights to their kits for one year. There are reasons why Arsenal went looking elsewhere for kit manufacturers rather than resigning with Nike. They knew their contract was ending soon and Nike wasn't releasing well designed kits in the last few years for the Gunners compared to other Nike supplied clubs (Barca, Man Utd, Juventus). I'm just happy they signed with Puma. Time to bring some new concepts into the club plus relive the past. THE SHORT FUSE | ARSEBLOG
IanC
When Tottenham were with Puma they had exclusive rights to templates for the first year and then others were allowed to use it a season later. I expect Arsenal will have a similar deal in place. Will warn you though that Puma replica jerseys do seem a very poor quality than to other kit makers Tottenham have used over the past. There are numerous reasons why Arsenal signed a new kit deal with Puma: 1) $30m given to the Arsenal war chest (more like grandma's handbag) 2) exclusive rights to the designs for 1 year minimum 3) More flexibility with identity and more freedom to change the set in stone designs 4) fresh look by a younger companyWhen Tottenham were with Puma they had exclusive rights to templates for the first year and then others were allowed to use it a season later.
