marble21 430 Posted July 23, 2014 I have seen people saying that Avec is owned by Nike but not seen any objective evidence. When Crystal Palace had their kits manufactured by Avec, all of their training wear was provided by Nike. What you have to remember is that outside of the top flight a lot of clubs are basically ordering teamwear and training wear from the manufacturers, as opposed to being supplied an 'unlimited' amount like all of the top clubs are. Oxford have probably chosen Avec over Nike, to give themselves a kit that will stand out more than just their colours and crest thrown onto a common Nike template.

I can't find the marketing blurb on their website now, but that is certainly hiow it read to me.
illini1 83 Posted July 23, 2014 I found a picture of the 2013 Avec Crystal Palace jersey. The picture shows the jersey had the Nike laser cut holes on the sides of the jersey. It appears Avec had or has some type of relationship with Nike to allow them to use their materials for their uniforms.

When Crystal Palace had their kits manufactured by Avec, all of their training wear was provided by Nike.As I understand it, Nike don't own Avec or their parent company - but the two companies have a close, longstanding relationship and Avec often outsources its shirt design and production to Nike. You can often see Nike detailing on Avec kit, for example Doncaster Rover's Avec-branded shirt last season had the Nike style ventilation on the sides.
sportstar1212 447 Posted July 23, 2014 AC Milan Away:Awful. The crest is plain stupid, and I hate the stripes at the bottom as well. Milan's kits have really been slacking the past 2 seasons. I hope they can turn it around next year.
lost_limey 86 Posted July 23, 2014 Going by the marketing speak it sounds like the Oxford kits also have the Nike laser cut stuff going on:http://www.oufc.co.uk/news/article/00080714-kit-launched-1727296.aspx
Jaffa 648 Posted July 23, 2014 AC Milan Away:Fairly typical for an AC Milan away. Not a big fan of the bottom of the shirt but Jesus H. Christ what an awful crest. Its actually the logo for Casa Milan...the Headquarters building for the clubI suddenly have an inexplicable craving for a Terry's Chocolate Orange...

Pabig 65 Posted July 23, 2014 AC Milan Away:Looks like a freaking hockey jersey with the hemstripes. And the crest is awful. Any reason why they use it on the away kit?

Sodboy13 5,586 Posted July 24, 2014 Avec had Crystal Palace last season. Wish I had been able to grab the gorgeous sash 3rd they did.
Still MIGHTY 3,834 Posted July 24, 2014 Honestly, I don't mind the Chevy logo on the field. (Plus I think it plays well off the gold in the Man U crest) (Also, this game and seeing the jerseys side by side, I'm afraid for the adidas era. Definitely need to pick up the final Nike kit before the ensuing three-striped dark ages.)

gdu 160 Posted July 24, 2014 Galaxy looks goodToo much going on for me between the color scheme, the sash, the stripes in the sash and the stripes on the socks. Pick one or 2 and go with them. IMO, their color scheme is unique and should shine.

Deion.Blackwell8 6 Posted July 24, 2014 I'm pretty sure the shorts for the Milan away use the normal crest. If so...why? So dumb.
