You'd think that in this day of a hundreds upon hundreds of channels, there would be a way to watch the lower division playoffs on TV.

The NCAA and ESPN both know that there's little to no audience, that's why the 12 year contract has the first two rounds in digital only. ESPN 3 is available in 80 million homes, get over it.

Welp, at least one of three HBCUs in this year's FCS playoffs made it out the first round. Tennessee State shout out butler 31-0. Last time I check SC State & Bethune-Cookman were losing. Winston-Salem State loss their game in the Division II second round.

Well, it wasn't the best team out of the Pioneer League (San Diego was, but pulled themselves out after some sort of issue), but I can see why they've haven't given the Pioneer a playoff berth yet. Oy... that's bad.

Here's some things that I've noticed this week...

-Well, good to have home field. Only three road teams won in the first round of the FCS playoffs. The aformentioned Tennessee State win over Butler and then Furman and South Dakota State won. BTW, good luck next week Furman. You'll really need it. :)

-As good as Colorado State-Pueblo has been, they haven't shown it in the postseason. Yet another playoff loss and I wonder... are they a one trick pony? Same for Ohio Dominican, who I did see play when they played Findlay in the Game of the Week in October. They're a good team, but again: are they a one trick pony?

-*yawn* Wake me when it's either the Division III Championship game or either Mount Union and/or Wisconsin-Whitewater loses.

I really don't follow Division III very much, but I'm definitely supporting Galludet because these players have faced adversity that most teams don't.You see, Galludet is a school of the deaf and most, if not all, their players either are deaf or have hard time hearing what their coaches say. To win that conference title with the conditions the players have is truly heartwarming. It's just hard to not support them. :winner:

I'm currently taking an ASL class and my professor graduated and taught at Gallaudet. She's SO excited for this team!

Definitely going to watch as much of the FCS playoffs as I can now that the FBS seems settled for a few weeks, pretty much anything now from 12-4 on Saturday I will be watching.

North Dakota State looked like a well oiled machine. Didn't know their coach was leaving to go to Wyoming. With the exception of salary, going to WYO doesn't seem like an upgrade.

It may not be seen as an upgrade, but you'd be surprised. NDSU is a legitmate beast in the FCS level. Of course a school at the FBS level wants the hot man from the FCS school, because if he can do at that level, he can do it in this level.

Wyoming already tried and missed with this before when they hired Joe Glenn after a FCS title at Montana and two D-2 titles.
