Didn't know they were moving the D2 title game to Kansas City next year. Sporting KC's stadium seems too big a venue for the D2 title game. Unless they plan to tarp sections off, there is no way I see them filing that 20K seat stadium. Oh well, it's only a 3 year deal as of right now.

It is much easier to get to Kansas City (MCI) than it is to northern Alabama. Also, most of the finalist are not longer close to northern Alabama or even from the south.

As for seating capacity, it only holds 18.5 for soccer, but the first few rows won't be sold as the field dimension there is so wide (the widest in MLS)

Any hope for Towson to stop an NDSU 3-peat? I don't think so. NDSU just isn't far their so good, hopefully they'll fall back a notch when Bohl moves on.

I think there is. Look at what Towson did today in jumping out to a 21-0 lead at Eastern Washington and hanging on for the win. If Towson can compete and win against one of the best schools at the FCS level in Eastern Washington (not to mention win on their home field, which is tough to do), then they have a shot at ending the Bison's streak.

I think it's going to take a game similar to what West had against Eastern Illinois to get it done though.

That's why I think it won't happen. That NDSU D is way too good. They held a run heavy FBS team to 41 yards on the ground, and have been really good at stopping the run-heavy offenses they've faced this year. Zach Zenner had 4 yards on 8 carries, Taliaferro two weeks ago had 53 on 11 carries, and Coprich had 59 yards on 21 carries. They did surrender some decent yardage to UNI and YSU, but I think both are a little more balanced than Towson.

I've been looking forward to this game for a week or so now, and OF COURSE, ESPN 2 is out in my area today

That field sucks. Grass keeps coming up with each step players take. However they've mentioned that the field was re-sodded in late November but the recent winter storms in Texas may not have allowed for the new grass to properly set.
