Teams wearing their rivals colours.

The Vancouver Canucks recently lost a bet to the Montreal Canadiens over Movember. The loosing team had to colour their logo with the colours of the other team. Montreal sent this to Vancouver to use as their twitter Avatar.

So i began thinking. How would other rival teams look in each others colours?

This a major problem in today's sports aesthetics world. You would think that in their biggest games rivals would want to sport their best looks with their own school colors.

For example, I wasn't happy to see Tech get pummeled by Texas in all white getups; a look made famous by them. Not helping the cause, we've lost to them twice now in these stupid "Lone Star Pride" uniforms, which are essentially meaningless cash grab uniforms that DO NOT improve upon our regular look.

And that begs the question, which ones are the 1%?

oregons 20 jerseys that they use to look different every week, but don't sell a lot of them, they sell 6 of them from what i counted, i don't know the exact number that they have, but i think one of their white jerseys is missing and there could be more.

Not a rivalry on the level of BYU-Utah, but BYU more or less misappropriated Utah State's colors when the Cougs switched away from royal blue to navy blue. BYU fans always justified it by saying that Utah State wasn't doing anything with the color anyway.

Here's what it look like when I was a kid:

BYU vs. Utah State 1981

BYU vs. Utah State 1983

And here's what it looked like more recently:

At least Utah State finally added grey [back] to their color scheme:

The dumb thing about the BYU situation is the insult to general intelligence that is them calling that color the darkest shade of royal blue.

Back on topic, this. Full stop. It's funny, I like the Bucks' reds, but I won't miss them when they're gone.

Cowboys wearing Redskins colors (almost)

I'm pretty sure it says the yellow is discoloration from being displayed in a smoke-filled restaurant. The red is real, though... still interesting seeing the Cowboys in anything other than their assortment of various blues and silvers.

Didn't they wear the red/white/blue stripe in 1976 for the nation's Bicentennial?

Seeing the Tricentennial is on my bucket list btw. I'll be a spry 115 if I make it. B)
