RUMORS on Twitter saying Cristiano Ronaldo is out of the tournament with a knee injury. If this is true it's sad for the World Cup as a whole to lose arguably the world's best player, but amazing news for the US

Hard to believe that if you're a Dutch fan, the more competitive and fun group game is against the Aussies instead of against the Spanish.

Yeah, it was good getting revenge for the 2010 Final, but after a while, the Spain game got boring and such. Whereas no one saw the competitiveness Australia would put up to make the 2nd Holland group match more interesting (albeit the Dutch experience eventually panned out).

If you're a Dutch fan there's no way that was more fun than the game against Spain. Watching your team thrash one of the best is always more satisfying than scraping a win over a group of scrappy underdogs

Exactly. It's far more fun to whip the best senseless.

But, give the Aussies a ton of credit. They made it tough for the Dutch... BTW, since Cahill is out for the game against Spain, if it is his last game in international play, what a way to go.
